Unlike Google Adwords or Google Analytics, SEO does not have any standard tests or certification to certify an individual as expert in this field. Therefore, it is slightly difficult to convince any client or employers to hire a SEO agency because there are single Google SEO certification available. Hope Google will release a basic certification for SEO professionals similar to Adwords and Analytics despite having no commercial benefits. A lot of internet marketers claims that SEO is dead or soon to be obsolete. If there is an existence of SEO certification from Google, there is a higher possibility of its obsolete. But, there are none and this is purely an open market where no one have a say about it’s continuity.
How many web designs out there are actually following all guidelines mentioned on Google Basic SEO pdf? How many webmasters actually aware of those suggestion given by Google for better crawlability and access on their website’s contents? How many companies have invested huge load of money in designing flash content website for users and not aware on how to make it crawler friendly? How many actually knows that accidentally having white color font contents on white background could lead to penalty? The complexity of SEO is getting deeper every single year comparing from its child age in 2005 till now.
SEO of future is what I call as survival tool. One can create any business out of nowhere in any part of the world and make it into a huge success. Growing trend in mobility devices and online purchases gives a strong demand and power to SEO industry. Therefore, SEO is still on growing demand and moving with strong foothold each year even though there are no general certification from Google available at this point of time. As long as, one are aware of all those black, grey and white hat but only practicing white hat SEO for their clients or employers they should be staying for a long time in this industry.
Those engaging in negative SEO activities may run their business for couple of weeks or months or even for next one to two years. Google will eventually update their algorithm to catch those sneaky technique and downgrade all their efforts in just one update. Come to think of it, is it really worth to invest such an investment in black or grey area of SEO? Why not invest it in total white hat SEO and watch the business grows slowly but steadily over a period of time. You may not reap the results immediately but as time passes, the domain will eventually be the dominator in your niche business.
The future of SEO is still bright for those who are following the law in the book of basic SEO PDF guidelines from Google. Those who are against it, it is not so bright out there. Please choose your path or make your company’s goal or objective towards brighter future solutions in SEO industry. Do not engage or even sell any products under grey or black area of SEO which could negatively affect your client’s or your visibility scores in organic results.
