There are literally tons of blogs operating currently on the web. People from all over the world are blogging for business purposes. However, not all of the business blogs manage to attain that top ranking and stay on the top for long. This happens when business bloggers commit things that should be avoided otherwise they will push their blog far below others and their level of traffic will severely drop. I am briefing a few not to do things being a business blogger below; hopefully you will always keep them in mind and be successful.

The worst mistake many business bloggers make is thinking that once they have all the great content on, that the readers cannot find anywhere else; the job is done. Although you have unique and highly valuable content on your blog but this does not means that your work is finished and now you can simply enjoy the traffic that will come soon enough. Well, traffic will surely come if you have great content on your blog but for how long? People will not come back to read the old stuff. A business blog cannot be left idle; it has to be updated frequently with new content so the traffic level can be increased rather than letting it go down.

Secondly, never forget to put in a comment box below every posting. Many bloggers make this mistake of not putting a comment box where people can leave their comments after reading your post. Putting a comment box will make sure that you can know about the feedback of your audience. You will know what they think about your business. This way you can also find out if people are expecting something different from you and bring in those adjustments for them if possible.
Another common mistake to avoid is not interacting with other relevant blogs. Always get involved with other bloggers who share the same interest as you do. Link your blog with them, comment of their postings, and be an active blogger in the blogging community. This will get your traffic level higher; your potential customers from other blogs will come to you reading your comments there.

Lastly, your blog should not sound like as if it is only there to sell things. It is there to make relations with the potential customers and do some good marketing. If your readers get an impression that all your blog does is try and sell stuff; your business will not go far.
