Search engine optimization (SEO) is growing marketplace in online industry. Majority of service providers are not aware and practice effective and ethical way of SEO services. Most of the SEO companies target is to earn quick money using their best non-ethical or low performing SEO services. There are free tools and paid tools available today to do almost all kind of SEO activity. Of course, the quality will be lacking and it may also lead to some penalties from search engines. Business owners are not aware of the sensitivity of this issue and continue to fall for this trick falling for “cheap SEO services” bait.
Remember, we are paying for what we get. If we pay for a peanut, we will get a peanut. If we are paying for Pizza, then we will get a Pizza. The quality of SEO service is similar. There is no shortcut or quick way to get high quality SEO services. Simply, it is not easy to convince a webmaster of high quality website or blog to link to your page. Even worse, there are some self-claimed SEO experts don’t even know how to identify these high quality sites. It takes huge time to analyze hundreds of sites or domains to get one good or high quality link partner to point a link to your website.
Another reason why SEO is a heaven for scammers is that no one can guarantee #1 ranking. They can easily get away with your money by telling the same reason told by other genuine SEO companies. You should be clear in getting the exact page where the back links are created in each month’s campaign to verify that your SEO company did a real good job. Most of the business owners are not aware of back links or how SEO works in real-time, so most SEO scammers gets a free ticket to cheat these business owners. This is a bad reputation created in overall SEO industry where some legitimate SEO companies suffers.
Another frustrating issue that most clients faces is that the conversion rate is dominated by top 3 position for any particular keyword in SERP ranking. In any of your SEO campaign, the ultimate goal is to reach top 3 position in order to get the real fruit from your investment. While it is not an easy step where high competing keywords might take years and we may still not reach page 1. A good link building partner who sucks at keyword research will also put all your investment in drain. There are some premium paid tools available to identify highly potential keywords with minimum competition and easy to reach potentials. Not all SEO companies will use these kind of tools in their campaign and some may not even know about this.
Other than that, webmasters and business owners have their core business to take care off. They don’t have time to monitor the recent changes or news in SEO industry, simply because it is not their business nature. It is easier to assign a SEO company and let them do the magic while we concentrate in doing the business. But, to find a genuine SEO partner most webmaster and business owners will have to spend more time and resources trying new and cheap SEO services. Obviously, it will take time to get a genuine SEO service provider when we have limited budget. The real pain here is even with that minimal budget we are not able to get the minimal results.
Even though, your SEO company is charging you higher than other quotations received in emails (mostly scammers); take note that your investment is really working for you. Instead, trying cheap SEO service would only cost you more money while not seeing any results. I would rather donate or spend on drinks for my friends on Friday night party instead of spending on uncertain SEO company simply because they are cheap. What about you?
