Google are going to try to improve searches by using a new algorithm which they have named Caffeine. Released on June 8th, Caffeine promises to deliver faster searches and improved quality. Those who use SEO to promote their websites might feel a little concerned by a change like this. So will Google Caffeine have a big effect on SEO? Will we all have to head straight back to the drawing board?
Well for the moment at least, things are looking bright. The algorithm has been running for more than a week now and so far there hasn’t been any major changes to the way things are done in the search engines. There haven’t been any stories about people who were at the top of the search engines, suddenly disappearing off the page. This does not mean of course that Google Caffeine will not have an eventual impact on SEO, but just not a revolutionary one.
The main aim of Google is to try to improve their service to website visitors by ensuring that they provide quality results which are useful to the internet surfer. If they don’t stay on top of this a new search engine could come along and knock them off their perch. Google are getting better all the time and the lesson for the rest of us is that we should make quality of our content more important than SEO. This current change might not have caused too much of a stir but the future of doing well on the web will be all about providing content the visitors actually want. So at the end of the day the main thing to do is to please the visitor instead of the web crawler or algorithm.
Everybody that owns a website is aware of the advantages of having SEO. There are many things a good SEO company can do for your site, including Backlinks. There is no point in walking a lone furrow when it comes to SEO, so enlist the help of some experts. SEO isn’t the only thing you should think about though because, Web Hosting are equally important.
