Earning good amount of money from online consistently is a dream come true for many of us. It is the best way for us to quit daily job and enable us to virtually work from anywhere at our own sweet time schedule. I have seen many successful blog owners that shares their online income revenues in monthly report. Following their footsteps, I have been doing it too for this blog with monthly summary income report. Frankly, I have followed John Chow’s step in sharing monthly income and hoping to reach a good figure income like his soon. But, I was only able to reach four figure income after almost 2 years of blogging. Now, I’m having five figure income target and god know when I can reach this goals. There are some difficulties in showing or declaring our monthly income to public. Of course, there are some benefits too by showing this report. Today, I’m going to discuss the pros and cons of showing our monthly income report in a blogpost to public.

Firstly, let us drill the pros site. The benefits of showing our monthly report publicly is huge in terms of SEO and motivation towards blogging or online entrepreneurship. Showing our monthly income will help new bloggers and online entrepreneurs to explore true working methods that earn money. There are more scam sites compared to legitimate that really pays bloggers like us. Checking legitimate sites that pays well is hard comparing to thousands of service providers. So, it is a short cut of choosing legitimate service providers from someone else earning summary. Plus, if you link those sites that pays you with its affiliate, then you might be on your way to earn some extra money from affiliate earnings. Personally, I have seen this working with numbers of users referred increases for any new sites that pays well. Each month, there are some bloggers who will collect from and publish monthly earning reports with a link to the real post. This type of posts will generate easy linkbaits.

Plus, it is a strong motivation for new bloggers and online entrepreneurs and showing them a right direction to head. It may also help us monitor our monthly progress and ease in identifying working methods. We can improve our strategy and concentration on channels that have higher potential. It is not easy to find the best rewarding sites or services in our niche that pays well. With constant monitoring, we may unlock the secret of earning online easily. Besides that, we may also becomes like an idol or guru for some new entrepreneurs who will follow exact footsteps like us. Some may even see this as self-promotion but this can be a true guidance to many newcomers. There are not many bloggers or affiliate super gurus that willing to share their online monthly income to their readers.

Now, let us drill the cons section of posting online revenues publicly each month. First of all, there are some conflict of interest with certain service providers for showing our income from their channels. For example, if you are showing Google Ads on your blog, it is not wise to show number of clicks, impressions, pay outs you receive from them on your blog. This may conflict with their TOS. The same goes with other service providers like Buysellads, Textlinkads, etc. Next; you are actually competing with your own products and services. Showing income from your earnings with personal product or services may motivate the buyers to request for more discounts. If you earn good five figure income from your SEO services, there are chances your client request for greater discounts from you. This kind of competition will not be helpful in our growth. There are also some bloggers that wants to earn some quick backlinks tend to lie about their monthly earnings with huge figures. Some may even look at this post as boasting value. The blogger just simply wanted to show off with his earnings.

No matter how does it looks, there are more benefits in sharing our income report with our readers.

I used to show off my earnings back in the days when I was making bank my promoting web cams on myspace. I don’t think that’s something I would do now though, I prefer keeping my earnings to myself, in fact, I believe nobody should know about how much you make but you.

One problem that I saw in revealing your earning online is that you are open to negative elements that might try to harm you later such as scammers. Its a good motivation ‘coz people just don’t believe stuff if you can’t really show something.
