What exactly is your dream job? Sometimes, we may not realize that the current job we are holding is our dream job. Well, there might be many criteria that define a dream job, let’s get the list done here. First of all, if the job is in our study field, then it is good because we know something about it. If you study for Physics and you end up working as Sales Manager, then it may not be your ideal job. Next, will be salary or income. If the job pays well, then it can be our dream job. Getting a job in Libya or Dubai as a highly paid professional where the same job would only earn 5-10% in other countries like Malaysia, India or Thailand. No wonder, most qualified professional that gets outstanding results end up working in overseas.

I am sure most of us love to visit new places. If your job allows you to visit new places frequently, then that could be your dream job. Visiting new places and getting to know more cultures and languages makes us more experienced and global. Next is working hours a week. Some prefer to work office hours and have holidays during weekends and public holidays. Some prefer to work at night. Some may forced to work in shifts of night and days for 3 to 4 days of work in a week with 12 hours routine. Some companies even allow you to work from home at your leisure time as long as the project is completed before cut-off time.

Some works offers faster promotion and higher salary hikes compared to some other jobs. Getting a stable job from economically stable company that gives faster job promotion with huge increment is another dream come true job. Some prefer rewards like titles, seniority, red carpet treat or jobs that attract paparazzi and willing to let go privacy. It is all depending on our preference. There are choices of variety of jobs today. Some may not realize they already have their dream job until they lose it. Don’t regret later as it is better to evaluate your current work position before hunting for new jobs.

  1. If you love what you do, it may be your dream job. Basically, if you think that the work your doing is not a responsibility but something you enjoy then it is your dream job.

    To me a dream job is a work that gives me maximum mental satisfaction. Say, a person dreams of a particular job but on getting the job he is not mentally satisfied. So there is no point in dreaming of an odd job just for money. I personally think people should do the job that suits him the best.
