Earlier, I have shared ideas on how to get 1000 followers on twitter a day. The basic idea of identifying twitter profiles that most probably will follow us back have been shared there. Now, I am going to share another useful tip of finding these profiles easily from Twitter. Thanks to twitter list that made it possible to create several list of follow back profiles. There are hundreds or thousands of follow back lists created but here, here, here and here are the lists that impressed me. I’ve checked most profiles have following and followers ratio of 1:1. This shows that you are most likely will be followed if you follow them. It does not end there. There are about 500 twitter profiles in that list that can follow you back.
Here you go another interesting tip to get thousands of followers that might follow you back. Each profile that has highest approximate of 1:1 followers:following ratio will most likely have followers or following that will return the follow. I noticed that some accounts even have more than 200k followers in the list. Following their most recent followers or following profiles can get us high number of follow back counts. You can apply this method on each and every profile on this list. But, there are limit of following in Twitter. You may not able to follow more than thousand profiles a day. Once in a while, removing those accounts that do not follow us back using mass unfollow tools like Buzzom can help us keep our following and followers ration in line.
Remember, mass number of following and unfollow can get our account banned from Twitter. So for the sake of corporate reputation management, if you want to increase followers on twitter, make sure to do it moderately. Don’t hit the follow limit each day or follow and unfollow thousands of profiles each day. Massive usage of twitter resources can lead to temporary account ban. It is not easy to get our profile listed in Twitter recommended users list and we are not a celebrity or multinational company. But, if you still wanted to gain more popularity in this growing social media without follow back profiles, it may be slow but safe too. Plus, it is not easy to look at the scrolling tweets of 100k accounts that we follow or countless number of DMs received each day.
Massive number of follow and unfollow may get us penalty in Twitter that our tweets won’t appear in Twitter search results. But, there is another major player who does take into account of these tweets. Google tend to show our latest tweets on their search results. Google even prefer to give high ranking for twitter profiles with high number of followers. Number of followers is just one of the factors to help our twitter profile rank higher in Google. I guess these two giants have different perspective over number of followers there. So, there you go with the tips of getting thousands of followers a day. Happy Tweeting!

You may not get as many followers than from those follower lists mentioned here, but the followers should have a higher quality.
