What we really need is a google replacement where we don't need to know the 200+ factors. Instead your site should be found by those who are interested.
unfortunately we SEOs need to do now google's job......
I think when google closes its doors one day, a lot of people will be happy/relieved

I am not entirely sure that they use "bounce rate" in one of over 200 factors in SEO. Maybe, you should shoot this question to Matt before jumping into conclusion.

Google may not use Analytics to get your site's bounce rate, but they do use this metric... by getting it from the Google toolbar.

There has also been talk that they gather this data from the Chrome browser but this is merely speculation.

If there not considering the Google Analytics and the bounce rate then how could they determine the "user experience" of the surfers which is part of relevancy of the content to be displayed on SERPs? Maybe they have a separate way of computing it w/o going to Analytics database.
