The trend in search engine optimization moves very fast. So, what will be the most important factor in 2010? Although, there are over 200 factors involved in measuring search engine rankings, I noticed that Matt Cutts often talks about relevant points three times in separate videos January 2010 from a total of 7 videos posted. It is clear that they are heading towards relevance when it comes to quality of backlinks more in 2010. I am not entirely pressing the whole lot of 200+ aspects in search ranking to relevancy. But, clearly they are going to raise the bar of relevancy weight towards SERP ranking in 2010. There could be new algorithms, techniques, formulas; etc could be developed in order to improve relevant links credit. It makes sense. After all, relevancy is what ordinary web users look for on a website, and there should always be at least one common factor between the cross-linked websites (either linked by author, topic, related interests, etc.).
