As the title says, only those who have extensive knowledge and experience in this field can be considered as qualified person in order to be a SEO consultant. However, there is no real PHD “Permanent Hair Disposal” in SEO field for now.
SEO is very profitable field and those who able to master this skill can conquer any business online. Learning SEO is not easy as it takes more than reading books. Hi Atniz, I am doing SEO for about 1 yr from now. I think traditional ways of link building are losing their value as most of SEO pro’s just have taken it to spamming level.

Yes Neo. You are right. We can see that in comments, trackbacks, article directories, forums, website directories, etc. Spammers are everywhere. Getting a quality link from well moderated site is hard but it is all worth at the end.
I am surprised educational institutions have not added Internet Marketing as a major, its logical and makes sense. They are leaving money on the table…
Agree with you. I wish they have this courses during my college days. Marketing and Business Management are closely linked. But, they should understand that online marketing is totally different that offline marketing.
I think we should develop an SEO University, lol! Love the way you talk about giving free service at the first time when you offer the service. I’ll keep in mind about that, just in case one day I become an SEO expert

I signed up for the free version of this course: http://www.seo-training-course.com even though I’m being slow at it. The paid version also releases a certificate, and I bought a SEO book a few days ago that was published here in Italy just a few months ago.
No PhDs for now, but this is a good start.

You don’t have to. All you need is to join some webmaster forums, I suggest DigitalPoint forum and always read about people’s problem in SEO forum. There you can learn all about SEO.
