Link Building That Triggers Spam Alert

Topics: Link Building

Link building is the hardest part of search engine optimization. It is easy to get our site optimized but building backlinks need time and we should not rush making thousands of backlinks in a day. Building massive backlink within short period of time will most likely trigger Google spam alert. This may get our site penalized. So, building links should be taken seriously and manually. Involving those auto link creation programs like auto blog comments program, thousands of directory auto submission, etc is a bad idea. Many link builders or so called SEO expert still offer this service. I hope they are aware of this issue. I’m quite sure that their clients want to get their ranking boosted, thus draw more targeted traffic.

I am sure that the moment we see any auto submission tool that enable us to get thousands of dofollow backlinks in a click for free, many will be jumping happily. Well, I never really come across any such free tool yet. Most of the services are paid and even it is free, I am strongly suggesting you; Do NOT use this kind of service to build links. It is not easy to request for re-consideration from Google for penalty websites. Even, their own Google.co.jp site has taken almost 9 months on penalty removal. John Chow took few days to remove the penalty as he directly communicates with Matt Cutts (Head of Spam Team In Google). I wonder how many of us will be as lucky as him.

It is good to build whole new domain instead of building penalized domain expecting Google will lift the penalty. Backlinks is important and there are certain rules to follow strictly while building links. Learn do’s and don’ts of link building and apply it to your campaign. Never fall for massive link building methods even if it is free. I am not a SEO expert, but it is good not to go against any of Google TOS. Search industry is conquered by Google and those who go against it will probably out of business. I am not sure how bad it will this method can be used to bring down the competitors. Certainly, the mighty G will have some sort of algorithm to detect it. So, have you involved in any auto link building method that generates thousands of backlinks? And, what is the result?

Instead of making a bad links for competitors I try to work out my own website.

This is a wise step to take. I believe in positive attitude towards marketing. Instead of thinking how to kill our competitors, it is best to think how to improve our business.

Even so, I keep my hope that more SEs will begin to gain importance in the SEO and web marketing world. :) Google might be a king for now, but the idea of ‘monopolization’ of the Internet by one entity only kind of contrasts with the ideal democracy of the ‘Net. So I look forward to more innovations from the other SEs’ part too.

P.S. I use SEs for ‘Search Engines’

For now Google it is. Bing came with a bang but is not to the extend to even compete with Google. Heard Yahoo will merge with Bing in search business. This could lead to a better fight in search engine industry for Google.

There is nothing better in SEO game than building links manually. Although thousands of links that some services promise sounds temptating, one should not leave others to do link building, if one has time to do it. Anyway, the key to success online is finding the right niche, that is easy to conquer to begin with.

Finding relevant backlink is not easy and takes time. That is why many don’t have time to concentrate in link building over their core business. This is where link builders and SEO gets their job. But, there are so many builders that doesn’t really know the true quality in link building and start building links from low quality sites. I hope this field will get competitive with higher quality services soon.

What kyle’s says has its own interest… Could you actually do that? Auto-link competitors? Any work on the matter by anyone?

    • Atniz says:

I am not motivating this method. Even, Matt Cutts have clearly states that this method might even help your competitors or does not give any value to it. If this is possible, I can bring down any top ranking website at instant.

  5. I know that link build very important for our website, but i don’t know good way for link building..i want to ask, how much link that should we build in one day?

    • Atniz says:

It depends on your ability. If you can build 10 links a day, work on it regularly. When it comes to link building, keeping at moderate level is important. If you build 10 links today, building 100 links tomorrow will certainly lift the alert. So, try to keep your link building at average level.

  6. Yes you are right. Getting banned from google is the last thing that anyone would like in his life.

  7. kyle says:

What if I use auto-link builder and some bad work you mentioned to my competitors it is a great idea?

    • Atniz says:

Are you trying to kill your competitors? Well, give it a try. Who knows you might have some luck over there. But, in some cases, you might help them too. My best advice is to keep working for your site.

  8. chester says:

Yeah definitely dont fall for those get 1000 backlinks for XX amount of dollars. It’ll get you in trouble with Google. Stick with white hat techniques.
