Blogging is just fun for many and some serious bloggers really make a living with it. Either, you are a serious blogger that manages over hundred blogs to earn steady income monthly, or you just manage one blog with complete rambling about your daily life. People are trying to monetize almost anything. Take for example, Kim Kardashian in Twitter profile able to get more than 2 million followers. She is a TV Star and still monetizes her twitter account by making some money from SponsoredTweets. This is just an example of how real people making money from simplest program like Twitter.

We should allow our blog to make some money by adding the contact page. Advertiser may have their own reason to get a link or banner from your site. It is surely an additional income generator even if we don’t really need it. There are a lot of SEO professional and link builders constantly looking for links to get their client’s ranking high in SERP results. Well, that is their job and they can only find it from search engines, directories, forums, etc. Getting your blog exposed to multiple directories will enhance the chances to get more proposals. But, a blog without a contact page or at least an email will just flush away potential earning opportunities.

As part of trial, I tried getting in-content link from several blogpost to one of my client. Most blogpost that have good ranking in terms of SERP or page rank don’t have contact page. Out of 10 blogs, almost half blogs exists without contact detail. I tried my best to get whois info but never got any luck so far. As far as my view, they just lost an opportunity to make some extra cash from their blog. If you have not added advertise page, make sure to provide at least email (preferably free email to manage spam like Gmail, Yahoo, MSN, etc). You won’t know where and when the luck could strike.

It is the basic for all web design but most blogs does not come with it. They could have add a simple contact form in all their templates especially those free types.

Most blogs dont have contact details so adding it can definitely add some value, especially from advertisers who want to contact you. Without it, they can only contact you by leaving comments. Good post!

Not all advertisers willing to comment on the post. They don’t want others to know that they are link buyers. It may effect their reputation in Google’s eye. Having a simple contact page or email on sidebar of a blog saves a lot of trouble and open some new opportunities for the blog.

  5. Yeah — an contact form is a must. I get some great job from my contact form directly.
