Links In Tweets Slows Response Rate

increase-twitter-clicktrough-rateRecently, I manage to run a small test using my twitter account. I only manage to get 80-100 visits for each blog update that posted on Twitter. Comparing the number of followers, this is too low. I am expecting about 1% of my followers to visit the link posted on my tweets, that is 600 visits. This figure is still too far to achieve. But, I manage to see the difference by following a few simple steps. The number of visits increased almost twice by following this method. I am sure many will experience the same too following this simple method.

1. Don’t post more than 10 tweets a day

2. Don’t post links in each of your tweets

3. For every 5 tweets, post one tweet with link

4. Repeat the above step each day

Just follow the above step and check your google analytics on traffic referred from Twitter. You will surely notice the difference from the number of visits referred from Twitter within few days. Nowadays, there are almost all tweets pops up with a link. If the title is good, provoking, attractive, etc we may click it. But, this has been misused for affiliate links by many twitter accounts. I have noticed many twitter accounts with only links posted from last 100 tweets. Obviously, the number of people that will click on any of the link is slimmer.

So, don’t make your twitter account look spammy. Don’t share links frequently on your tweets. This will definitely makes us looks like a spammer. Plus, take note of your follower’s timeline too. If large number of followers is from U.S Boston time, don’t post a link during office hours in Japan. Keep your tweet with link as the most important tweet of the day and post it when the time is right. Share with me on your methods on getting more people click on our links on tweets.

This happens because people are getting tired of spammy sites. Specially if the twitting process is done automatically. That’s the reason that you should do it from time to time manually so that there’s a touch of a “real person” twitting.

Usually I ignore tweets with links but only those with catchy titles. I will reply tweets with no links. It is hard to determine which tweet is made by person or robots these day.

I use twitter account to post pre-articles from our corporate resourse. I just have started to use some faeturer. So, I post 3-5 post per week, with link in every. As my Google Analytics shows , from 10 to 100 visiters I have per day. Not so much? Yes, I agree, but even if 1 twitter visitor buys our industrial product we’ll immidiatly get a profit.
    Keep tweet, good luck !

Tweet always helps. But, I’m sure your profile will look spammy if a link in every tweets. Try to make some tweets without link and with links. A combination always work better. Maybe, you can run an experiment on this.

Hey, somewhat related. My twitter page used to have a PR of 4. I’ve noticed that some people have PR on their twitter home page link.

The last Google PR update was around Halloween. about three weeks later, my twitter PR went from 4 to zero. How did that happen when there are only no follow links on twitter?

Not sure where you get this reading from. I suggest you to check PR from several other PR checker tools. Sometimes, Google toolbar shows earlier page’s PR. So, it maybe the reader’s error.

Else you can use this kind of concept: regular linking to make it natural. maintain… maintain… maintain…

Regular links in each tweets makes out twitter profile look like bots. Some RT, FF, Replies, Ramblings, and links will make us look more human.
