Choosing a company name can be one of the most difficult parts in starting a business. Unique and related with some “goal” will certainly make a good name. But, if you ask an SEO, they will advise you to include keyword in company name. This will give better understanding about your services when someone read your company name. For example, if you sell furniture, then choosing company name as “Lee Kuan Yee Trading” is a bad example. Instead, you can try “A1 Furniture”.
Including vital keyword in domain name may help a little for your site in SERP ranking. Permalink with title of page or post are more seo friendly compared to numbering type of permalinks. Developing a website for your company is a must these days. Online presence is required for any small companies to enable our clients check on our services and products easily. Establishing SEO friendly website beginning from design phase is very important for new business. Developing new website with proper metadata, structures, interlinking, image tags, video tags, hosting location, domain name, achieve, sitemap, categories, labels, etc will certainly give a better optimization.
Learning SEO is not a waste even if you are not earning from it. Implementing it on your own company structures will help you to move faster than your competitors. Before selecting a service provider to develop your website, enquire about SEO friendliness. Make sure your website is well optimized onsite with proper navigation and not against Google TOS. If you are not familiar with SEO, try to post it on Google Webmaster forum or Digital Point forum and get opinions from real expert in SEO field.

Learning SEO is not a waste even if you are not earning from it. <– absolutely agree. SEO knowledge will be very usefull in business. It's not a secret – about every company has corporate site. But just a page isn't enought!

I think search engines are recommending this for webmasters and it shouldn’t be neglected during the development or right before official web publishing.

Actually, building a reputation that you are providing the service is much harder and getting SEO projects will just fall into its place when the time comes that you are reputable to have one. Its just a matter of time and patience.

Agreed. Building good reputation is not easy too. But, once we able to get good feedback, it will definitely bring more clients and long term clients.

True. There are a lot of competitors out there in this field. Those who manage to get good feedback and testimonial report or famous can survive.
