Recently, there are so many speculation going on on link building and SEO. No matter where the online technologies goes, content is still remain as king of Internet business. Sites with less or no content update for certain period of time tends to drop in traffic and ranking in major search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. Of course, link building or quality backlinks help our site to rank higher in SERP ranking but it does not help in long run. As we can see many high authority blogs and websites that update new contents tends to conquer first spot that we had been trying for years to reach. A simple new article in Wikipedia can rank high with less number of backlinks because search engine gives importance to contents.
Even, search engines like Google and Bing shows tweet contents in search results. No matter where the content is fetched, content still rules the industry. Commonly, new blog post able to gain first page ranking for high authority blogs. Frequent posts will get us more top ranking position in google SERP for all our recent blog posts. Of course, it depends on the blog’s quality and age of domain. I always able to rank top 10 for the title of my blog post in google for first one to two weeks before hidden in the cloud. Traditionally, they call it Google Honeymoon effect. As long as we able to grasp first spot for few weeks, we can see surge in traffic referred from search engines.
Imagine if you new post able to rank first place for a keyword that have thousands of searches daily. This will eventually, give a good buzz for your blog and article and whatever you promote on that post. If you frequently add more unique quality contents, it will certainly help our blog to grow exponentially. As long as we can deliver new contents daily on our blog, we can see traffic and ranking of our blog increases in a matter of time. For new bloggers out there, don’t give up blogging because you don’t have good backlinks or nice design or lack of SEO knowledge. Just keep writing contents frequently and you will see your blog soaring soon.

I agree with the point that content is still a king. But with that you need marketing skill as well. SEO is also equally important. The combination of above willl make a blog a successful venture
I agree. Combination always works best. But for those who have limited time and can only concentrate in one and only field, then they should go for content building instead of link building.
I agree with you Sis….
But, what is the king content to now?….
because my content is healthy and beauty. is it still good or not?….
thanks……
As long as you frequently update your blog with new and attractive contents, your blog will survive. You will see more advertisement requirements and money will pouring in.
i like your last motivation lines of your post. When i was new at blogging i had no idea why content is king. But as time goes by i realize that content is really a king, great content is worth than any link building scheme. In fact, making good content can be included as link building strategy, because good content always attracts trackback from other user. IMO
It’s true. Good contents generates organic backlinks. If the content is good enough it will reach the first spot without any manual or auto link building method.
Content is a King indeed! But in a “war” like in our world, a king always needs an army of promotions. The king will not survive alone but a good king (content) always leads to victory.
Perfectly explained. I like the part, “king will not survive alone”. In fact it is true as there are another 199+ options that measures SEO points in SERP ranking.
Yes I agree..content is still a king..content enough has the power to increase PR of a website and increases visitors also as they get new content frequently if your blog is updated regularly.
Thanks
TC
Yes Neo, content alone can increase PR and traffic, most importantly drawing organic targeted traffic if we update our site regularly.
I agree that content is still a king (and appearance is a queen). but, blog still need promotion. good content without promotion is useless. write good content, and share it!
Promotion will increase the popularity much faster than it supposed to be. I have seen sites with regularly updating with new contents tend to get top spot in google search results.
The blogs I visit regularly and faithfully are ones like yours, where new articles and content are consistent.
I do have one question, again being a newbie. I have been getting pingbacks and trackbacks in my comment section and I am not sure what I shoud do with them. Do I show them in the comment section, or delete them. Probably a stupid question, but my Mother always said, if you don’t ask, you never know.
By the way I see you have a new icon. I was so used to the other one, I will get used to the three heads, but one suggestion. My humble opinion, you should have a head shot of you, if I looked like you do, it would be an easy decision to make my icon, “Beautifully Iconic”
Thanks for the comment on logo. I will try to get a nice studio photoshot and post it soon.
About trackbacks and pingback; It is one the dirty technique used by webmasters to gain related backlinks to their website or blogpost. There are tons of autoblog that fetch recent related blog post in rss feeds and post it in their blog. Showing pingback and trackbacks is exactly looks like 1-1 link exchanges but more to relevant pages. I hate link exchanges and Google don’t motivate us to do it excessively too. I will suggest not showing this links on your comment section.
I think your spot on, you find sites with only a bit of content that come and go – they get good SE rankings initially but then they fade away. Google likes large sites with quality, unique content – its worth getting this right first before trying to do any major SEO work
Your right. There are so many sites fade away with lack of content updates. The main reason anyone would visit our site is because of contents. SEO will come naturally.
Agree! Content is still no doubt the king! :p But seo is important too.
It’s true. Content always comes first following by SEO.
I agree with you. Content is the king. The success of your ranking also depends on your content not only on SEO.
It’s true. New and good contents have better chance to get good ranking because it can gather organic quality backlinks and it may lead to quality organic traffic from search engines.
