Technorati is one of the most referred platform when it comes to blog ranking. Earlier ranking system was based on links from other blogs. So, the top 100 blogs represents the most number of backlinks received from other blogs in Technorati. It has been almost static for top 100 blogs on Technorati which does not give exposure for new blogs. It’s something all permanent position for these 100 top blogs. When it comes to ranking system, we should consider other aspects than backlinks as what the new Technorati does. They take into consideration of frequent blog posts, linking, and so many other factors to calculate authority ranking figure from 1-1,000.
We want to see organic results Technorati ranking system instead of showing all stagnant list of blogs. I guess, the ranking in Technorati system will give more organic and different results in top 100 blogs in specified category. Plus, there are category level top 100 ranking gives better exposure to blogs in respective section too. Frankly, I am not a big fan of Technorati but they just made better ranking system for blogs like no other ranking system especially for bloggers like us. So, even if you are new blogger, posting frequency can get your blog rank high in Technorati instead of only backlinks from blogs. Currently Atniz dot com ranks at 12,932 on Technorati. What is your ranking in Technorati?
Technorati also have a very effective anti-spam measures that is difficult for users to crack.

I’m not sure why. Is Technorati owned by Google as well? If yes, then it is obvious as blogspot is also owned by google.
I just write about how to subscribe to technorati and get SEO benefit, and now they are already change it. I think i must update my last post about technorati.

You are right. This way you can see more benefits from technorati as a new blogger. Before it was difficult to get any sort od healthy traffic.
I’m not really getting huge traffic from Technorati but their ranking system is one of the most widely used in blog ranking.
