Balance Of Backlinks
Backlinks have different value and it is always good to have a good balance of backlinks. Search engines see a link from header, footer, sidebars or content section differently. Let’s take a look at the links from each section and compare it. Usually, footer links are dedicated to the designer or developer of the site and shown sidewide. So, giving too much value for this links is just not worth. In my opinion, footer links carries the least weight from any type of backlinks. You can still get a link from footer by sponsoring any template from template developer. Plus, if the developer designs a site that is adult or gambling related and getting a backlink from this site is not so healthy too.
Sidebar links are most often shown sidewide. Getting a repeated link from the same site does give more value comparing to second link from totally new domain or website. Today’s link building campaign on either banner or text link ads are all shown sidewide. Many SEO used to hunt for sidewide earlier before google takes relevancy into consideration. As for now, relevancy plays an important role in backlinks in google’s eye. Relevant keywords existence in the context and proper anchored keyword backlinks will certainly give heaviest credit towards your backlink.
Of all, I prefer to get a backlink from content section. As a visitor, content is the main section that delivers traffic from search engines and other bookmarks channels. A link from content section is most likely to get a click if the person reads the post or article. Google and other search engines are trying their best to provide best results to the readers. So, content section will get the highest credit when it comes to search results and targeted traffic. Getting a backlink from content section with relevant keywords scattered within is definitely my preferred section. Probably, this is why Google giving penalty to the bloggers who writes paid posts with dofollow link to the advertisers.
Overall, getting a backlink is already helping you in SEO. Have a good balance is what we need in our link building campaign. A good balance of backlinks will come from sidebar, footer, header and content section.

There are no way that we can calculate the value or quality of our backlinks. We only can assume. Google uses complex algorithm and no one actually knows how it works unless their staff.

getting backlinks from content section is rather hard. But i ussualy use Interlink on some of my blog post to get one way backlinks from content section.

Usually, paid post is the easiest way to get backlinks from content section. A good idea to get a backlink from interlinking own blogs. But, I don’t suggest this on excessively use. Plus, getting backlink from same domain will not help as much as from unique domain and unique IP.

I’m not sure it is a blackhat method. But, I don’t really suggest this method too. The best backlinks is one way backlinks. You can try to search about linkwheel on digitalpoint forum and google.
