writing-unique-contentDo you have a blog or website that has dead traffic? If you ask any SEO pro, the first thing they will advice you is to do link building. It is because; link building contributes huge part in SEO activity. I agree with that partially, because it helps to improve SERP ranking in google and overall it will increase traffic. But, content gives thousands of unique keywords that we can get good ranking for as not many will concentrate on low level competition. Each unique content blog post will help you get more traffic from search engine.

For example, if you take note on all those high traffic blogs or website, they must have thousands or hundred thousands of pages indexed in google. Imagine if you ranked in top 10 position for at least 10% of your posts, it will draw huge number of traffic from search engine itself. Write more blog post and get more exposure for your blog and website. Write contents that are related to your niche and draw related traffic from search engine freely. Frequently update blogs will get constant visit by search engine bots and any simple changes will shown on search engine within less than few hours.

Whenever you start a blog, remember your competitors are already having thousands of pages indexed and getting thousands of visitors a day referred from search engines. So, they are doing well because of their long term support to their blog or website. You may need to do the same in order to be successful in your field. Don’t give up on your blog or website if you don’t have at least 1,000 unique pages that well indexed in major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. Currently, I’m trying to post one post a day to increase unique contents on this blog and hoping to see the results in next one to two years.

How can you tell if a blog is “dofollow”? How can you make your own blog “dofollow”? What exactly is “dofollow”?

This makes a lot of sense. I’m wondering about comments that we make to other sites – like this one with the address underneath. Do they help with the rankings?

    • Atniz says:

Yes, it helps. If it is dofollow (my blog is dofollow), then it will help you rank better in google and chances of getting higher pagerank in next PR update. Try to use keyword as your anchored name, to get SERP ranking boost. It will be better if you write comment on related blog post (dofollow).

  3. New content always gets a good boost, it just doesn’t stay new long so you’ll to keep adding in order to keep that momentum going :)

I recently got distracted by link building, and totally neglected to add new content. After a few weeks, some of my rankings took a big hit. That’s when I decided to focus on writing again, and after about five to ten articles over a one-week period, I got back most of the ranks I had lost!

Between Google alerts and aggregating websites, there are a lot of ways for new content to get noticed in the first few hours of being published. After that, it might be a bit harder to attract views and links!

5-10 articles per week? That is awesome! I wish to reach that level soon. I’m just trying to meet one post a day this month and hopefully reach the target. Sooner, will target for more posts per day. Content is what google ask us to do in order to get more traffic from SE and it works too. I use to get less than 50 visitors daily from SE, once consistent contents added, visitors exceeded 100+ daily.

  4. More contents also helps on increasing PageRank, PR in a site also increases as the number of pages in the site increases.

    • Atniz says:

I’ve seen this in many places too. But, pagerank is based on backlink calculation. Of course getting more contents will eventually increase organic backlinks and that will contribute towards pagerank increase. Let us hope next pagerank update will bring in some increase.

“… see the results in next one to two years.”, wow! And all the while I thought all that work should bring in more immediate results. I had just started my blog and I think I had set an unrealistic expectation for myself. Reading this post has pulled my feet back to the ground. OK I would work very hard on my blogs and hope to see good results in two years time. I would always refer to your blog for some guide. Thanks

    • Atniz says:

Thanks Ken. I think it is good to take slow and steady steps. If contents is given more importance, getting more unique contents on our blog will lead to success. A lot of bloggers are overexpecting and end up give up very soon before they can actually see the results.

Hello Atniz, Thanks for this million dollar suggestion. From my self experience I am saying that content alone can increase your page rank but yes links also can but I heard that Google doesn’t like link exchanges or link manipulation techniques ….

    Thanks

    • Atniz says:

Exactly. Google doesn’t like link exchanges and link manipulation techniques. But, there are always methods to do it correctly. As long as at moderate level and don’t look spammy, we are on safe side.

    Hi Atniz.
Thanks for the post. I read in one SEO site yesterday that if you’re new in blogging, you should posts at least 5 article a week. He is a full time webmaster like you. Everything is done in his site according to his work timetable. Reading your post make me understand why he suggest that.

    • Atniz says:

Yeah, now you know why he ask to write 5 articles a day. Top SEO sites are writing more than 5 articles a day. Some blogs even writes 20-25 posts a day. Google always ask us to concentrate on contents instead of link building. I guess this seo blogs are really following this rules too.
