I have made a comeback to Atniz blog after almost 2 month of near complete neglecting to update blog post, twittering, dropping, forum posts, blog comments, etc. No link building or traffic generating method taken for almost 2 months (May and June 2009) due to some personal reason. I noticed that the traffic drops to less than 100 visits a day and Alexa ranking dropped to lower than 100k with pagerank dropped from 4 to 3.
How to increase traffic to our blog? Are you getting an average of 100 visitors a day and wanted to increase 1k visitors per day? I have consistently followed a few easy steps for a month. Results, I manage to get average of 30k Alexa within a month. Traffic increase almost 10 times, from less than 100 visitors a day to 1k+ visitors a day. Not sure about pagerank yet, I’m hoping for one step increase in next google PR update (expected by September 09).
Well, there are no secrets of getting 1000 visitors per day within a month. Here are the steps I followed consistently:
1. Write One Blog Post Each Day.
2. Submit New Blog post to 20+ Top Social bookmark site
3. Tweet about new post each day.
4. Reply all comments on each blog post and make sure commentators receive a notification.
- Useful wordpress plugins to notify commentators on each reply and notify search engines of your new blog post.
5. Write 10 helpful forum posts on DP forum each day. I suggest choose a related forum in your blog niche.
6. Drop 300 cards on Entrecard
7. Spend on advertisement using 1,000 EC/day on Entrecard
It may sounds easy, but getting more twitter followers can be time consuming. Being active on twitter and dropping 300 cards daily with purchasing advertisement slots on Entrecard takes a lot of time. Plus, understanding at least 10 questions asked on digital point forum and get the best answer possible a day really cracking my head. Consistency is the correct answer to boost our traffic.
Consistently, build links, dropping, advertising, blog posting, forum posting, tweeting and social bookmarking is the key to increase our traffic in long run. You can see traffic from search engine, direct and referral traffic increases gradually.

Very good information. But when your running a business, who really has time to write a blog a day and go through all the other steps you mention? I have assistants working with me and we are still pressed for time each and every day. I am kind of on the fence about hiring someone to do this full time.

Before, I used to devote my time just dropping the EC but it really takes time and I got exhausted so I decided to give up EC dropping.

Really? I suggest you to use a better antivirus and protected firefox (security addon) to tackle this. Nowadays, there are many blogs and websites are infected with viruses.
The issue like you mentioned is the time it takes, but i’ve found it you post and link build often then you don’t need to spend as much time for each post. If you take a break its like you have to start again – i’ll give you techniques a try.
I agree with you. I have took break almost 2 months before and when I return to blogging, it feels like starting from ground level back. I’m sure you will see some positive response with this techniques. Good luck!

There are still about 10-20% users are very responsive instead of drop and go type. You can easily check active sites as for dead blogs, no one will be dropping card so you don’t have to return drops on dead sites. Overall, I’m still getting large number of traffic from Entrecard that I couldn’t find yet from twitter or DP forum or any other programs yet.
When I started blogging I never realized how hard it would be to get attention. Congrats with how your site has been going and I admire your dedication.
I myself give at least 2 hours of my time each night for blog traffic. It hasn’t increased much but at least I am seeing results month per month!
2 hours a day for traffic generation method is good. I’m sure if you done it properly, you will see the boom in next few weeks. Just, don’t give up and always improve your methods.
I used to do entrecard for one of my blog , whether you do 300 drops daily ? its really time consuming , How much time you give to your blog each day as i am thinking that you work full time on it ?
off topic :- I was using do-follow blog search engine and many of the blogs are switched back to nofollow , can you please update them . if you need any help then let me know i can email you a list of no follow blogs next time i use the search engine

Well I have never used these techniques to attract visitors to my site except twitter and blog catalog..Anyway need to follow them …those are important for getting traffic
