I have made a comeback to Atniz blog after almost 2 month of near complete neglecting to update blog post, twittering, dropping, forum posts, blog comments, etc. No link building or traffic generating method taken for almost 2 months (May and June 2009) due to some personal reason. I noticed that the traffic drops to less than 100 visits a day and Alexa ranking dropped to lower than 100k with pagerank dropped from 4 to 3.
How to increase traffic to our blog? Are you getting an average of 100 visitors a day and wanted to increase 1k visitors per day? I have consistently followed a few easy steps for a month. Results, I manage to get average of 30k Alexa within a month. Traffic increase almost 10 times, from less than 100 visitors a day to 1k+ visitors a day. Not sure about pagerank yet, I’m hoping for one step increase in next google PR update (expected by September 09).
Well, there are no secrets of getting 1000 visitors per day within a month. Here are the steps I followed consistently:
1. Write One Blog Post Each Day.
2. Submit New Blog post to 20+ Top Social bookmark site
3. Tweet about new post each day.
4. Reply all comments on each blog post and make sure commentators receive a notification.
- Useful wordpress plugins to notify commentators on each reply and notify search engines of your new blog post.
5. Write 10 helpful forum posts on DP forum each day. I suggest choose a related forum in your blog niche.
6. Drop 300 cards on Entrecard
7. Spend on advertisement using 1,000 EC/day on Entrecard
It may sounds easy, but getting more twitter followers can be time consuming. Being active on twitter and dropping 300 cards daily with purchasing advertisement slots on Entrecard takes a lot of time. Plus, understanding at least 10 questions asked on digital point forum and get the best answer possible a day really cracking my head. Consistency is the correct answer to boost our traffic.
Consistently, build links, dropping, advertising, blog posting, forum posting, tweeting and social bookmarking is the key to increase our traffic in long run. You can see traffic from search engine, direct and referral traffic increases gradually.

Here’s my way: For the long term traffic I use SEO, and it’s the best long term traffic source, and by SEO I mean combining on-page SEO and all kinds of off-page SEO(link building with article marketing, video marketing, web 2.0 marketing, forum posting, etc.)
But when you need a lots of traffic fast, you need to think a little bit outside of the box, if you don’t want to pay for PPC or PPV

Wow, all awsome points. I will check out this Entrecard too. I know its pretty time consuming coming up w/ new posts every day, but I guess they don’t have to be too long, just whatever goodies you can come up w/ at the top of your head! Thanks for the list of 20 social bookmarking places. I do it all by hand, so its nice to have a list like that.

why do Write One Blog Post Each Day can increase the number of visitors? Does google loves blog which updated daily?

I’m not sure google loves it or not, but writing a post a day gives more exposure in search engine as we get more pages listed and indexed. For long run, it will surely help us get some decent traffic from search engine.

I think you have to be careful with sponsored reviews -they are ok if they are from the right sites but otherwise they might harm your rankings?
