Google will update their search engine with new algorithm soon (within weeks or months time). If you currently working on some keywords to get top position in SERP ranking, you will easily notice the difference in Google Sandbox (Trial version of new google). This trial version not supporting geo targeted google yet, as it is only providing results for .com TLD. I noticed there are about 20 – 30% difference in caffeinated search engine results compared to original google.com search engine results.
Currently, I’m working on “Work At Home” keyword and able to rank #17 in google.com but my blog is completely removed from top 1000 search results in sandbox. I wonder what are the changes in new search engine. Certainly, some new algorithm and methods required to rank better. For now, if you actively building backlinks for your website or blog, try to keep your backlinks from related sites. The value of anchored keyword backlinks from related sites are a lot heavier than an anchored backlink from unrelated sites.
I’m guessing that, about 30% of the blogs and websites will see their traffic from google search engine knocked down when this new search engine takes place. My best advice is to keep providing quality contents and that will help you get good traffic from search engines.

Google is doing whatever they can to appear to be on top. I think the new algorithm is publicly available so it seems like they too have a new great search algorithm. Sergey himself has composed a Search Engine dream team for the sole purpose of evaluating Bing.

I agree. It is difficult to find a working algorithm as they frequently changing it.

I think they are using somethings from old results. I seem to see some pages that did not do well last updates doing better. Not sure why but i think the results will move around more than people think on next update.

They have done some serious fundamental changes on their algorithm and basic serp calculating policy. The results should be different for many.

You’re welcome Fatin. Backlinks really helps in SERP ranking. For any website or blog, Content is King. Frequent update in contents is very important in seo point of view. Link building is queen. Without constant link building, a site is similar to dead site.

Google Caffeine rocks: “Wake up and smell the coffee!” LOL
My typical searches all show significant improvements, with the typical KW combo showing 3-5 slot increases.
With “Weddings in Sacramento,” my SERP went from #12 (page two) all the way to #5 on Page One.
There are no declines, just increases. A typical change is/was “Sacramento Wedding DJ” (moved from #7/#8 to #4 or #5.

There are noticeable changes in sandbox. I wonder what algorithm they use to calculate this new ranking system.

Try to avoid doing link exchanges as google don’t like link exchanges. Try to create one way backlink instead.

I guess the changes will be big but not huge. They didn’t gave any free trial versions of what they are supposed to do in near future so we can expect some changes. But changing everything would be stupid, because their search engine works pretty good. So I’m sure this gonna be an evolutionary, not revolutionary step. So there is nothing to be afraid, it won’t be so bad.

I’m not sure what you mean by a ‘free trial’ since Google is a free service, but according to Matt Cutts and the official blog there are many algorithmic changes being made. This Sandbox version is for testing and feedback from industry pro’s and power searchers. From what I can tell the changes will be pretty far reaching and will likely spell a whole new era of SEO methods (and hacks).
