What consequences will my site face if I fail to apply canonical URLS effectively. I see a lot of double indexing of my site’s pages, will I be penalize for duplicate content?
I use a lot of common tags. For example a post will be indexed with my Permalink, but then indexed again because I tagged it with a Search friendly term. I believe Search Engines regards this as duplicate content.

English local blog is difficult to compete because there is global competition. I think we should not face to face with them but focus on creating new idea to enter the market ..
eg. He use his own brand, bata to challenge Nike products ..
eg. He teach us how to build a better website but dare to critics the articles on problogger.net ..

I have been seeing many blogs lately embedding Entrecard drop lists. Most state “Copy the code and embed this droplist in your blog! It will build up your links, improve your page rank and bounce rate, and increase your blog authority!” Are these claims true? I have a “do follow” blog and am wondering if embedding 300 outbound links will hurt my Google Page Rank?

Hi John,
i’m on one of these lists with all my four blogs and it helps in Technorati Authority when the other persons in the list publish it on their website. In July i had Technorati of 3 with the babyblog and now i have 10, thanks to this list
Would be cool if everyone who posts this list would be a member of Technorati *lol*
In case of Bounce rate? If i post the list everyone can drop the cards from my website, ok, but then i have to make a special page for it so that my bounce rate might be affected positively (usually the persons put it in their sidebar and then the bounce rate stays the same – 100%, only the time on the site is longer and this counts more for me!)
Trader’s Hub claimed his page rank went up to 3 after he published the list and other members copied it (written somewhere in a post in April 2009).
When i look in his list, then he only made some blogs dofollow (in the last list my blogs have been marked “nofollow”, i think only persons who are his friends or persons who put the list on their blog get dofollow).
The only real positive effect maybe, you get more drops on your EntreCard which boosts your popularity points.

Hai, SEO still important for those want to do marketing thru email list?
August 11th, 2009 at 11:50 pm
I don’t have any questions at this time, except “why is Google tinkering with PR every stinkin’ month?” when it has NO effect on SERP in my niche (Sacramento DJs), seems like the PR changes would exasperate blog owners more than a static web site like mine. I don’t sell ad space or links, so it doesn’t matter if my PR goes up or down. At the end of the day, its ORGANIC SERP that matters. So why does Google piss us off so much???
August 12th, 2009 at 7:56 am
I’m interested to know how does PR ranking really affect the SEO of a site? Had been google slapped and never got the PR back.. so how to improve traffic/awareness by getting around the PR?
August 12th, 2009 at 10:59 am
If I have a personal blog, what would be the best keywords to optimize it in SERP? How do you actually build your links??
August 12th, 2009 at 12:37 pm
Hye, Atniz.
What I know is at first we have to submit the URL to the search engine, so it get indexed. My question is how about submitting to any directories? I mean a lot of website out there offer some directories for us to submit our URL there. Is it take effect according to the search engine or it just for a directory for easier reference? Thanks!

I used the WP plugin to make nofollow links dofollow, but it looks like links are still no follow. I use CommentLuv, so I don’t know if the plugin works when CL is used for comments. Could you take a look and see if I am do follow or no follow now that I’ve added this? my blog is http://www.luvemorleavem.com/blog
Thank You!

Hay Atniz,
Thank you for having this Q and A session. I have a particular question that I know the answer too, but hope there is a better way of doing it.
In a nutshell, here goes. When working on CMS applications using dynamic urls, there is usually a option to make those long dynamic urls sef (search engine friendly), which converts all your linked pages on the fly to a new shortened url. For example the long dynamic url could be http://www.mysite.com/index.php?=zyb1bcid=576article?=bbc543=
pretty ugly url if you ask me. Changing to sef url would be like http://www.mysite.com/articles/atniz-rocks-seo
Now, what if you have a site with 1000 pages and want to change the dynamic urls to sef on the fly, but not lose all those indexed pages with link juice?
Normally you would have to manually write 1000 301 redirects and add to htaccess. Time consuming and a major pain in the proverbial neck.
How would you go about handling this?
Im thinking you would be plain old stuck rewriting redirects for days.
