It is a common question by many new bloggers and business website owners. In fact the answer is very simple. It is “Backlinks”. Backlinks is the answer to increase google SERP ranking. In fact, it is not any type of backlink will work. Only dofollow backlinks using targeted keyword hyperlinked with your website URL can increase google SERP ranking. There are plenty of ways to get keyword hyperlinked dofollow backlink. Here are some of it:
1. Forum posting
- Take part in high PR dofollow forums like Digital point forum and have a signature (dofollow link) as your preferred keyword hyperlinked to get backlink from each forum post you make. Search for forums that gives dofollow link for signature in your website niche to get related backlinks.
2. Blog Comments
- Comment on high PR dofollow blogs using keyword as name to get hyperlinked dofollow backlink to your site. Try to comment on as many dofollow blogs as you can.
3. Submit to article directories
- Frequently submit new articles to dofollow article directories. It helps to get dofollow backlink with hyperlinked keyword in author section.
4. Submit new blog post to dofollow social bookmark sites
- Select only dofollow social bookmarking sites and submit all you new posts. Here is a list of high PR and high traffic dofollow social bookmark sites.
5. Ask your friend
Ask you friend to link your site on their blogroll or friends list using your preferred keyword with dofollow value. Maybe, you could buy him a drink for this.
I could only think of the above methods to get free dofollow hyperlinked keyword backlinks.

I was wondering if anybody actually did do a test for nofollow to see if they have absolutely any effect? Getting no follow links from some PR7-8 to a new page maybe might not pass any PR but does it pass any keyword strength?
Are you talking about Google search engine here? If yes, then there are no value from nofollow link, even from PR7 or 8 or higher.

Frankly, I hate article submission. In fact, for this blog, I never did even once. So, I’m not in the right position to answer this question my friend.
Excellent information. I’ve found it particularly difficult to accomplish #5 however. That friend of mine isn’t the biggest “go getter” and sure does take his time. Maybe two drinks will convince him to post up for the top Arizona wedding videographer / photographer. We’ll see.
I agree. Continuous work and be patience. It will get you to top spot. Just make sure don’t break any google webmaster rules there.
if you’re going to comment on blogs be sure to respect the blog enough to actually read it. it’s annoying and will get you blocked if you are commenting on blogs by saying, “great post” or “thanks, great idea”. have the courtesy to read what they write, they put a lot of time into these blogs

In my case before I start increasing the backlinks of the site, I check on the current structure of the site and see if it passes to the guidelines of the search engines and if it passes “SEO-friendly” test.
Great pre-caution step taken there. It is very important not to break those rules. Things might get worse if we broke on of those rules and get penalized.
