Time management is the most difficult part doing home based business. We are not committing to do 8 hours office work a day and take rest during weekend. Working at home gives us the full flexibility of choosing our own time to work. It is a dream job for many but it is not as easy as that. While we are at home, the responsibility to take care our child, cleaning the house, preparing food, doing laundry, shopping, marketing, and more falls on our head too. So, we might find very limited time to work from home.
If you are doing full time home based business, a good time management skill is a must. If you are not discipline enough to follow your time allocation properly, the home based business might collapse. Either 3 hours a day or 10 hours a day, allocate your time to your work and give the full concentration to it during these hours. I have made one for myself too. From now on, I will take rest on every Saturdays and Sundays. Treat best yourself and family for at least one day in a week before getting in weekly work routine.

Great article. It’s amazing how clean and organized I can keep my desk at work, but my desk at home’s disaster area, and just as much stuff gets done there !
Join the club. I think no one wants to share their mess looking work table here.
Time management is very important when you work from home. When you do any job form any office there must be some timings and discipline. At home must follow those thing what we follow in any office. It may be hard to shut down or start in time.
Exactly. Probably it is because of flexibility we have.
I agree. Many people fail to work at home, because they do not consider that things
Sometimes, I envy those who works at office as they have time to work. I mean, the have allocated time to work. Working from home is totally difference experience.
Damn straight! Between the cooking, the cleaning, the laundry and the housekeeping chores, you’ve got ongoing home improvements and the landscaping & gardening (which means watering).
Luckily, I’m staying in an apartment. Saves me those gardening and landscaping issues.
Very difficult for me sometimes. I get sucked into so many different things, I can hardly keep up sometimes. It’s hard to “shut down” when you work from home.
I agree. Sometimes, I’m online until 2-3am. Usually, 4-5 days a week. Shutting down is hard to follow when working at home.
It’s kinda hard for me to work for me. There are many distraction at home.
Exactly. The first thing is let everyone in the house know that we are working. Work is still work.
I find building rewards into my schedule helps me get things accomplished!
Great way to motivate us follow schedule. Rewards always works.
You’re right: working-at-home requires a strong time management, or completing daily tasks may become challenging.
I agree. Until, today I’m struggling following my own time table.
Time management is the most difficult part either working from home or in an office. No matter how good our time table is, following it is the hardest part.
I agree with that. Good and strong self discipline needed to overcome this.
