There are still many bloggers don’t know how to check dofollow blogs. You can identify dofollow or nofollow or follow these easy steps to find out the blog is dofollow or nofollow. Other than that, I suggest you to use Firefox browser to help you detect dofollow blogs. There are plenty plugins which helps us to identify dofollow or nofollow links easily.

Below is the additional method you can use to identify dofollow or nofollow:
1. Checking Link Properties
- If you use Firefox, go to the link you want to check (usually commentators link), right click on it. Click “Properties”. If you notice any “external nofollow” or “nofollow” in Relation row, then it is a nofollow. If only “external” or “dofollow”, then it is dofollow. If unknown, you need to check the source page or search status plugin results.
2. SearchStatus Firefox plugin
Install this plugin to your Firefox. Go to the option, and check “Highlight Nofollow Links”. This will highlight all nofollow links on any page you browse using Firefox thereafter.
3. SeoQuake plugin for Firefox
Install this plugin to your firefox. Check “Line-trough nofollow and no index” in the option. This will line trough all nofollow links.
There are other plugins, but I suggest above two as one of the best in the market. Don’t blatantly believe or assume that those use “U Comment I Follow” or “Dofollow” badges on their blog are giving dofollow. Most of the blogs are still nofollow. Verify the dofollow with the above methods and if you free, inform the blog owner about it. They will really appreciate it. They might even write about you too. If your friends asking you how to check dofollow, please share this information.

hi nice post.. seoquake, but I really like to used google chrome it’s faster that mozilla, I try to install that seoquake in my google chrome but it cannot. Can U help me?
I love Chrome too. It is fast compared to firefox. But, I really don’t know how to install seoquake to chrome. Hope Chrome will come up with similar plugin options like firefox soon.
What a wake-up call.
I’m new to Blogging, and have read many times that adding relevant Blog comments is a pretty simple way to get backlinks.
I had no idea that many of my comment links are hidden from the search engines with “no follow”, so now I feel like I’ve been wasting a lot of time.
Why does “no follow” exist in the first place?
Anyway, thanks for the tip.
I use Firefox and will head right over there for the SearchStatus plug-in.
I hate nofollow too. But, the giant Internet master have created the rules where everyone have to follows in order to be in their search engine list.
I developed Knofollo for Firefox to find nofollow links. That’s all it does so it doesn’t make queries to search engines and slow down your browsing.
I don’t rely on displayed page rank or other info from the other extensions because they are not real time.
Knofollo easily toggles on and off and makes checking for nofollow link attributes as easy as clicking the mouse and browsing the sites you want to check.
I agree. Adding more plugins to FF slows down the browser. That’s why I hate using FF and loves Chrome.
that’s great. and I have to try it, thanks!!!..
where do you get that’s information?…
and how do you can get 4 PR with dofollow blog??..
Good luck trying the above method. PR4? Now it is PR3. Most of my backlinks from dofollow blog commenting, dofollow forum posting and entrecard top dropper list. All are dofollow.
I usually look on the links manually. Either by right clicking the link or viewing the page source. Of course manual is always a pain. I will try those FF plug-ins and check if it really worth to use. Thanks for the recommendation, Atniz.
I use to check manually on each link by viewing the source page like you too. But, using the above two plugins gives me no chance to check source file again as it does all the work.
These are for Firefox browsers only? Can we do it in IE?
Still, thanks for sharing this.
The SEOQuake has a plugin for IE as well.I didn’t check the other plugin.
Yes, I agree with Tanuj. SEOQuake supports IE too.
Nice info. Thanks for sharing. This will definitely help me in the future.
You’re welcome. Hope you enjoy my latest post too. Hope to see u soon.
Hey.Thanks for the guide. Must use for people who want to promote their blog through comments and those comments are no follow which sucks.
I agree. I still support dofollow movement and happy to give dofollow for my commentators.
I was trying to implement it on my blogger blog but didn’t work for some reason.I edited the template too.
I never tried applying dofollow plugin on blogger blog before. Good luck for you.
Very good advice……I’m hoping that Google Chrome comes out with some plug-ins soon (Firefox and IE crash on my computer).
Thanks Matt. I wish that too. I love Chrome for its speed. I hate firefox for its crash. But, I got not choice to use both in my daily life.
Pretty good tips, the confusion between do follow and no follow links is huge at the beginning, thanks so much for this good information.
Glad the confusion between dofollow and nofollow is clear now. Let me know if you have any question about this topic.
