Seen how much of a website making/writing addict I am, I found out that the best solution for private website owners is buying at resellers’ accounts

Though, I think you’re right when it comes to hosting business websites and blogs, as usually the ‘cheapest’ offers at $10/month also have many addons that are specific for ecommerce.

I’m paying about $100 per year (annual payment) for my web site host.
He happens to be a fellow Disc Jockey in Beaumont, Texas and understands the business. When hurricanes hit the area (Katrina, Ike, etc), his servers were the only ones in town that maintained operational functioning: he had backup generators standing by with everything wrapped in heavy duty plastic tarps (several layers).
After those two consecutive years of disasters with ZERO down time (100% uptime)….I’m going to stick with Travis, no matter what he charges!

Price for web hosting constantly drops, but what about quality? I think that most of these “unlimited” web hosting providers aren’t good enough in order for us to trust our websites to them. I have dealed with many of them during the past and I have come to the conclusion that price equals quality. Slow servers, very long respond times, unfriendly support and most important ignorance of basic tech terms are discouraging me from re-choosing one of those providers. They have gained a significant portion of web hosting industry but on the long run they will exhaust all the dynamism that is given by their price tag.
