Twitter Experiment Results

I have tried an experiment on how to increase twitter followers faster two weeks ago. I’ve managed to gain 3100+ followers from 147 followerrs in 2 weeks. That is an average of 214 new followers a day. There are limit of follows set to 2000. This limit is only applicable if we have below 1800+ followers. So, getting the initial phase of reaching 1800+ followers is the hardest part. Once you able to break this number, it will get easier as your limit of following 2000 will increase gradually.
The number of members we can follow is an additional of 10% from our followers. This limitation is only valid if we manage to gain 1820+ followers. For example, if you have 2000 members following you. Then, you can follow up to 2,000 + 200 = 2,200 members. There you can follow maximum of 200 new followers hoping that they will follow you back. If you have 10,0000 followers, you can follow 10,000 + 1,000 = 11,000 members which enables you to follow extra 1,000 new twitter members hoping that they will follow you back.
Tweetlater helps to add new followers and unfollow those who unfollow us automatically. Other than that, you can always monitor your followers using Twitterfans. Here, they will show your fans (they follow you but you didn’t follow them) and you as fan (you follow them but they didn’t follow you). I suggest to unfollow those who don’t follow you and follow those who follows you. Always, try to keep your fans profile at minimum. Make sure follow those who follows you. It helps to get more followers in long run.
This are my personal tips on how to increase twitter followers faster. How about you? Do you have any other tips? Please share it.

I don’t want to alarm you, but if you check out http://search.twitter.com/search?q=from%3Aatniz you will find that all your tweets have been deleted from the search results, twitter do this if they think you are following to vigorously and think that you maybe a spammer! And been that twitter search is vital for people to find hash tags etc then this can be a major blow!

Yes, you are right. I couldn’t find any single post that I made. Thanks for letting me know about this. I will try to do something about it. Do you have any idea how to make it back to normal?

I’ve known people try for nearly 8 months to get an answer off Twitter for any help in the matter, they just don’t seem to be bothered and ignore you, so it’s a case of contacting Twitter through the help service that they have and then just pestering them until you get an answer..

Hi Atniz,
I have been really building strong relationships by taking a couple minutes, 3 times a day and just talking with people, finding out about them. Like I was at a cocktail party.
A lot of fun.
Good Blog.
I’ll be following along.

there are bloggers who claim thousands of followers on Twitter, yet their posts only get one or two comments.
In my opinion, posting great content will get more traffic than all the “tweets” in the universe.

I agree with that Matt. Twitter is just another channel to get visitors but the most important tool to attract visitors is content.

Yes. Any account with lower than 1800 followers, can get more than 10% margin. The ceiling following numbers will be 2,000 or 10% additional.
