Link Building Value Measurements
For any website or blog success, content is still a king. With perfect link building and zero content, it is sure fail business. So, building up new content momentarily for website and blogs are the key to grow in online business. Stagnant website with unchanged contents will not get good value in search engine’s eye. The next important value after content is link buildings. There are hundreds of ways to get backlinks from link building activity. But, is this backlinks will get us the benefits or the results that we are seeking for?
Traffic is the main key for doing link buildings. If we don’t get good traffic from link building, I’m sure we will give up eventually. Here, I’m going to share the value of link building for any website. I’m going to concentrate on google search engine as it is still the most preferred search engine by many. Google search engine only recognize dofollow links. So, any links from that have nofollow attribute will not help you at all in Google SERP or paga rank.
Identify dofollow blogs, dofollow social bookmarking, dofollow article directories, dofollow blog directory, etc and start building one way link from these sites. I have collected more than 1,000 dofollow blogs and shared for free at http://atniz.com/dofollow-search-engine/ Search any keyword and start commenting to get dofollow backlink. Remember, all new blog post, bookmarks, forum posts will only give PR N/A backlink. Try to comment on older posts that already have some PR value to get heavy backlink value.
Anchored keyword with dofollow link on high PR pages carries the highest value. If the page have PR10, that is the highest you can ever get. But, it is almost impossible to get a anchored dofollow link from PR10 page. However, you can always try to get lower PR pages. Anchored keyword with dofollow link on high PR pages will not only increase our page rank but also increases the SERP ranking for the anchored keyword. That is why; it has the highest value in link building.
Some considers niche, anchored keyword, dofollow link from high PR as the highest value of link building. For me, niche and without niche is still the same. The value depends on the number of outgoing link from one page.

i wonder why they make it so hard to get quality backlinks so we can better our seo rankings as well as our page rank from sites that have page ranks well above a page rank of 5

If not, an auto generated, meaningless content can get number 1 ranking and will be a junk content for real targeted customers.

I have to respectfully disagree with this statement:
“Google search engine only recognize dofollow links. So, any links from that have nofollow attribute will not help you at all in Google SERP or paga rank.”
In my Google Webmaster Tools account, a free service from Google, there are currently 2,645 links showing under “External Links” (a.k.a. Backlinks). About 300 of these (10%) are No Follow links from sites like Matt Cutts’ Blog and Hubspot.
Even though Google doesn’t impart Page Rank from these links, there is a wide consensus that Google still uses the Anchor Text from these links in determining RELEVANCY of the Key Words, which DOES have an impact on one’s Search Engine results.
Another reason why No Follow links can be valuable: I posted a comment at HubSpot’s blog (no follow) and another site owner of a Do Follow page, contacted me by e-mail asking me to sign up for his free service. That site is now PR 2 but it will eventually rise in the ranks.
So, even NO FOLLOW links can bring traffic and visitors, just ask the bloggers who are using Yahoo Answers!

I think I have cleared wrongly here. In terms of SERP increase in google search engine and Page rank increase, dofollow links are the only backlink type recognized by google. Nofollow links will not be considered as a material to increase our page rank or google search engine serp increase.
Yahoo Answers gives nofollow link in the source box. Yahoo search engine recognize nofollow links as well as dofollow links that passes the value in yahoo search engine serp increase unlike google search engine where only dofollow link will be considered.

You’re welcome. I’m still moderating the links. Maintaining a good dofollow search engine is very hard and time consuming.

Why not try my dofollow search engine? You can get a lot of dofollow blog posts in your targeted keywords.

Commenting on do-follow blogs gives you long term traffic, while the comments themselves give you short term traffic
– commenting is fantastic!

I would have to agree the nofollow tags carry weight in regards to the overall goal of link building. It should be part of any effective link building campaign.

Yes, I agree. A combination of nofollow and dofollow link building is a natural and effective way of link building. We should concentrate on other search engines than google too.

Good article. In my recent studies I found no follows were not transferring any page ranks to posters page, thus making the link for SEO purposes of no use.
However, Im wondering if enough of these no follows combined might somehow add up for some positive movement in ranking. ??? Maybe wishful thinking. lol When all is said and done, a good balance of high, medium and low page rank incoming links will be better for your site. If you go out and somehow manage to get all pagerank 4 and 5 return links, google may think your spamming or just buying good pr backlinks.

Nice thoughts. No matter, 100k nofollow link we have, it will still not help in any positive movement in ranking (google’s search engine or page rank). However, it plays good role in yahoo, msn, aol search engine as they recognize nofollow links and give credit to it too.

I need to thank you for posts like this, dear Atniz
I learned more from your blog in the last months than I ever did elsewhere. So, THANK YOU!
I’m trying to do the dofollow commenting on as many blogs as possible now, but I still do comment on nofollow blogs that I find interesting and useful, because they will still count as backlinks on Yahoo, and I’m hoping to reach the 50,000 Y! backlinks for my main blogs by July this year.
(Y! backlinks seem to be incresing their value for advertisers on blog marketing sites)
