It is not wiki type, as long as our visitors knows more about the real person behind the screen will do. The more he know the better to gain the confidence of the readers.

  6. I think that is a great list for a blog. It may however not be appropriate for businesses. Typically there is more than just one person behind a business.

Even on a business site I do like to see at least a mini description about some of the key people. Like the head of CS. It doesn’t not have to be in depth but, at least something so I feel comfortable with their names, and why they are qualified to handle my business.

I agree that many times I want to know who it is that is talking to me.

I think having an “about me” page also gives the writer a little more authority. I guess if I can know a bit about them then, I feel they are taking responsibility for what they write.

  9. This is what I search for on every new blog that I land.

Since I search the details of the man behind the blog on other blogs, it was the first page indeed I wrote on my blog!

Good policy followed there. Before we can really make sure the content is good to read or follow, we must know the person behind this words. Is the person confident with his/her writings.
