Now, we know that many bloggers blog for money. Actually, how much time you need to spend for a blog? Is it one hours sufficient or you need 10 hours? The answer is all depending on the commitment to your blog. Writing a 400 words quality post might take up to 2 hours or more. Submitting the blog post to social bookmarking site might take few hours. Of course, if you only concentrate on top 10 social media like digg, buzz, stumble upon, etc is a different story. Remember, there are more than 160 social media sites out there. Submitting to all of this sites might take a few hours. Let say, you want the max and want to submit to all 160 social media sites. That might take at least 3 hours for one blog post. That is a total of 5 hours for writing a post and submitting to social media. How about link building activity? Link building is another important sector that all bloggers need to take care after the content. It might take few minutes or few hours depending on how much backlinks you want. Human born with a big hole in our heart. How much backlinks is considered too much? The more backlinks, the better for its SEO. Let’s say you start commenting and active in forum (advertise your blog from the signature link) for another one or two hours. That already take 8 hours of workload.
What about advertisements management, blog design, plugin upgrade, answering your blog commentators, updating blog functions, troubleshooting any problems, etc. The whole day is not enough to just maintain one blog with average of one post per day. Basically, I don’t spend that much time blogging. I got another world that is more attractive to enjoy. Family, tv couch, gym, swimming pool, gathering with old friends, chit chatting about nonsense things, etc.

I spend three hours for my blog. One hour to write post. One hour to read other people blog, to gain more knowledge, and one hour to promote blog.
I think reading and promoting blog can be in the same category. Three hours for a blog is very healthy.

Self submission to social sites will ruin your credentials over time.
I write single post a week and I spend about 4 hours a week.
4 hours a week and one post a week? That is too low in numbers. Most of your post are long. I think it will help you a lot in SERP. If you could add one or two more post weekly, it would be much better. Well, that is my opinion.

2 hours per day looks like a average number to spend for a blog. Looks like you are doing good.
I spend around 3 – 4 hours per day. But depends but can also go around near to around 6 – 7 hours per day as well.
6-7 hours per day? Wow! I wonder what you do for this long for your blog. My guess is link building?
2 hour perday is my plan but it getting unstoppable when started…:)
