Nowadays, there are millions of blogs online. Almost all our search results will link us to any blogs in the search engines. So, what is the blogs really selling? From the amount of traffic we get from targeted keyword traffic from search engine, we only provide information they need. Maybe, some related PPC advertisements to support our blog. But, at the end of the line, what is the end product that we are trying to push in our blog?
My blog only depending on private ads, text link ads and paid reviews so far. The main goal I’ve started blogging is to earn money. So, I find ways to play with the keywords, generate targeted and untargeted traffic that will impress my advertisers to advertise on my blog. If you are selling some ebooks or products that earns you some affiliate income, then you are one step ahead than me.
Yes, we need a product that is related to our site to sell. If you started a blog with goals to earn money online, then you should find affiliate products that you can sell to earn some cash. Or, if you have make some products at your own that is related to your blog, sell it on the blog. I have learned this after 9 months of blogging. My blog don’t sell anything for the past 9 months. I have no idea of selling any products as I was concentrating more on how to improve traffic, how to improve page rank, how to improve rss, etc.
A part from scratchback and paid posts, there is no other money making options available here. I’m going to offer a new SEO service service soon. It will be in link building category. This is my first step moving towards something big and new. I’m really hoping for your strong support here. I will be posting about it here soon.

First concentrate on traffic building, soon you will have good Alexa ranking. As your Alexa rank narrows down, advertisers will start knocking your door. You don’t have to go in search of selling anything, everything will come on its way.
Alexa is good to refer but compared to Alexa, I think page rank have higher value. I have some demands on advertising recently but most of them are requesting for dofollow links.

Have you tried affiliate marketing? It is a great source of income for your blog. By having a great blog, people will trust you, and you can easily sell affiliate products.
No, I haven’t touch that part of the cake yet. I’m preparing for it. Might start doing it by February. Hope to earn some good figure from affiliate.
One way to accumulate earnings thru affiliates is to mixup the trendy products with the timeless and classic products. Trendy products will sell big in the near term, while the classic products will sell regardles of season.

Yes, it is. Do you have any plugin to auction the ad space? I mean, you said it is for highest bidder.
We don’t use any specific plugins of that nature.
But by the sound of your question, it seems you’re in search of an ad manager. There’s plenty out there, Google “wordpress ad manager plugin”. Plenty results will come up.
