During this recession time, most of the factories are closing down. Some of the companies are offering early retirement scheme for their loyal employees before their retired age. Some companies even send back their employees without any notice. This is normal during recession period. Companies will face lower business volume and profits to cover their costs. So, the retrenchments and factory closures are normal during this period.
Many of my friends lost their job last year and higher chances it will continue to happen this year too. It is an unusual affect happens in 2008 compared to previous year. This year is one of the worst economic crises that slammed most of the nations in the world. If you could go to any search engine to find job, online money making tips and sites will be listed first. This is where our normal hour’s workers are slowly turning into bloggers.
I can’t find any blog that writes badly about online income. Most of the site writes good and easy way to earn money online. This could motivate many desperate individuals whose work life is at danger situation. All this while, we see mummy bloggers or stay at home mum’s blog. In this year, we could see many new bloggers eagerly finding ways to earn easy money. I can say, 70% – 80% of my friends already started blogging and see some positive income. Of course, it is still insufficient if compared to the salary they get from company.
For those who wants to venture into blogging world, please don’t quit your current job. Make sure you are extremely confident and making more than what you make in your current job before thinking about it. There are more than 100s of millions blogs and you could drown if you don’t know how to swim.

Hi Atniz.
Good advice. Online income can vary and it´s not a sure thing. Plus, there´s so many competition that one doesn´t know what to count on.
Although I spend a lot of time online, I see this activity more as an extra than a full time.
Good Thursday!

Hi Mize,
Online advertising is good but we cannot depending on it only. I suggest you to participate in forums that can make you some money from your services. Start with article writing. Just an idea.

I got a question since the economic downturn have you noticed a decrease in your income per click on ads in your site or are things normal or moving in an upward direction I have noticed lower payouts per click on goojgle adsense

Yes, I notice that too. It is because of smartpricing policy by google. Try to search in google and read about this policy. My suggestion is to remove adsense from low traffic or non-profiting sites for better rate.

Atniz, good advice. I agree with you. Absolutely, one should not quit the job and do blogging. Blogging should be partime. If blogging gives you lots of bucks with which you can lead a happy life. then only think of living the job.
We are very small bloggers. so this should be parttime or side earnings.

Hi John Sullivan,
Thanks for dropping by more frequently. I have been busy with my new offline business. Now, everything is settled and start to concentrate back here again. Yes, I was expecting PR4 but still not bad to get one step higher than PR2.

Atniz, I agree with you. Internet Marketing is very very hard. You need to work hard. So many people sell their products by saying “that internet marketing is easy by buying their products”. These people I think are actually “stealing” money from those beginner.

invest money,
I still don’t believe in the ebooks and everything. What good is the book if we don’t do the work right? It is better to find out by experience rather than wasting money buying books that we don’t read or get bored reading first few pages.

I think it is getting easier for long time bloggers. Harder for new bloggers.

Twins,
It not harder. It’s just not that easy compared to those time. Nowadays, so many blogs out there with PR5 or PR6. The competition is higher. In order to stay in the race, we need to get higher ranking and good SEO.

For those who still have jobs, hang on to it as long as possible. Do not think too much about the small things that may irritate you in the workplace like deadlines or annoying employees. What is important is that you still have a steady source of income. And that is crucial since harder times are yet to come.

Yeah! Great advice. DOn’t ever quit your current job yet until you have serious saving in hand that can feed you and your family for a long time without any work.

@atniz, buy buying ebook I think we have bought time. We are buying other people experience. The important thing is buying quality ebook. How can we buy quality ebook? You can start by looking at sample chapters and table of content.

I have a bunch of ebooks that I have never read yet. The topic is very interesting but I don’t feel much gain if we don’t apply whatever we read. Good advice on choosing quality ebooks. I will check on chapters before purchasing any ebook.

Blogging requires a lot of time and a lot of pageviews to really become profitable. There are a lot of work at home job opportunities, but I would suggest pairing blogging with something else – affiliate marketing and SEO, perhaps? – in order to really make a profit working from home. It is quite amazing how many work at home people there are in the face of the economic downturn, isn’t it?

Hi Sherry
Is that Payperpost?
Here are some tips for you:
- You January 09 has only 9 posts. Try to make it 10 (use time stamp).
- Edit your shot posts to at least 200 – 250 words of post (last 3 – 4 months posts)
- Moderate the date of your posts (2 – 3 days/post). An average of 2 – 3 posts a week. Minimum 10 posts a month. Use time stamp in edit your post section.
Try new paid post network. I strongly suggest http://www.sponsoredreviews.com/?aid=24458 (just trying to get more affiliate here).
Most of my paid post come from this site. Most of the post value also not less than $10. Your blog have PR2, and I’m sure you can easily get $10 post. Wish you all the best!

I think you should ask your friend to buy a domain and hosting and start doing some serious blogging.
I’m sure she can find ways to supplement that 20% or even more in short period of time. You can always ask me on guides.

No doubt you should think twice (at least) to give up your current job and start blogging all of a sudden because even if you are really fond of the topic you are going to dwell on, you may be not alone.

It’s true. It is not easy to quit current job and totally depend on blogging. At least if we have other source of income like fixed deposit, rentals, etc then it is possible.
