PXS-Mail Form Is Spammers Heaven
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. You can also follow me on Twitter. Thanks for visiting!
Recently, I’m getting a lot of email from my website. All this spam email comes with unknown languages but with a link. The frequency was not too bad for last couple of months. But, for last few weeks, I’m was receiving about 5 to 10 spam emails each hour. So, I can say something terribly wrong with this plugin. The first problem is there is no captcha image.
Any comments section or contact us form without captcha is the target for spam. It is the matter of time when the spam numbers will get higher. Luckily for my comments section, I’m using Akismet spam blocker. I couldn’t survive this long without Akismet (I don’t have any captcha image for commenting section). Akismet is doing perfect job there.
As for a replacement for PXS-Mail form, I have come across cFormsII-Contact Form. It looks promising with captcha and very famous in downloads from Wordpress plugin section. If you have already using it, please share your experience with this plugin.

These Spammers need to get off their asses and go get themselves proper jobs, then they’d have something worthwhile to do with their lives!

You are absolutely right. Akismet is a necessity. Every once in a while it will make a mistake but not very often. I wouldn’t have a blog without it.

Even if we’re using all possible means, spam email won’t never stop because spammer won’t never stop and they always go ahead of anti spam technology!

Thank you very much! We have a few individuals in our Network who need a form, but the idea of it being spammed has kept us from moving forward. I’ve opened your suggestion in a new window and will read up on it. Again, thanks a bunch!
