Timestamp usage can be vary for each of us. Some affiliate kings, have more than 100 blogs which autorun for 1 year or more with pre-written blog posts. These kind of affiliate marketers often find people to do all the job from writing, blog post, writing comments on dofollow blogs, paying for dofollow signature links in forums, etc. All for one reason: Money.
The most applicable rate of timestamp usage is 1 week. Most of us are working and blogging as hobby. We can only find free time during weekends. More research and readings can be done during weekend. So, pre-written blog posts for a week can be done during weekend. It helps you concentrate on your daily jobs.
