Commenting on DoFollow Blogs can Increase Your PageRank Faster
I assume that all of you already know about dofollow and nofollow terms. You can click here and check on my previous post about how to detect dofollow blogs. Dofollow blogs lets google spider/bot to crawl on your comments and url to be listed in their search engine.
Another word, the blogs that offers dofollow are sharing their existing google page rank to their commentators. The higher page rank dofollow blogs gives higher credits towards your page rank calculation impact. Basically, commenting on dofollow blogs earns you some page rank juice.
There are a lot ways to find dofollow blogs. Try search “UCommentIFollow”, “dofollow” or “you comment I follow” on google search to get a list of dofollow blogs. Also, make sure you check on the sites whether they really offer dofollow because some of the sites might disable this option.

I have a dofollow option on my blog, but only for loyal commentators, those that make a few comments are rewarded with a dofollow, rather than those that just make one comment and you never see them again!
I’ve also got “Comment Luv” for comments that adds a link to the recent post in the commentators comment.

My question would be do you really think that google gives you juice in comments even if they are dofollow I am sure they have something in there bots that let them know it is from comments I mean technorati does not count comments as links in so maybe google is the same

Hi,
Commenting on dofollow blogs will give some weight towards page rank calculation. Google recognizes dofollow links unlike tehhnoratti or yahoo because Google is the one advice everyone to follow nofollow rules for any blog commenting section. Some prefer to give dofollow as a credit to the loyal commentators and to attract more comments to their blog.
If you compare the weight of effect on page rank from side bar dofollow links from main page which will give direct effect from compared to dofollow links from commenting sections.
For example: If you have a dofollow blogroll / link on topcommentator / link on top dropper / etc on any side bar of a blog which have page rank 4, will give you exactly one way link from page rank 4 site.
If you write a comment on a post of PR4 blog like http://abcd.com/2008/08/testing.html, you will only get a link from a PR1 equivalent site. Because each time the site goes deep like http://abcd/2008 after the main will decrease one page rank which will show PR3 for it and PR2 for http://abcd/2008/08 and PR1 for http://abcd.com/2008/08/testing.html.
Hope you understand more about this weight issues.

Awesome so then the trick is just finding the right blogs that eaither relate to your site or a post that relates to your site so that it doesn’t look like spam links right, I mean relevancy is just as important if not more then PR in googles eyes right

Hi Miguel,
Yes. It is one the way to attract more commentators. Beware of scammers. It is an easy target if you allow dofollow for comments.

Hi,
The more dofollow you have, the more sharing of your pagerank you are doing. I ‘m suggesting to keep to one. Giving dofollow to all comments is already more than generous.

Hi Bottle Opener,
As long as you are allowing dofollow, the scammers will always able to find you. If you want to expose, then let me give u a simple tips. Just go to google search and type “dofollow directory” or “dofollow lists” etc. Get those who provides list of dofollow blogs and ask them to add you or submit your blog there. You will see your comments will be booming after that. You might reconsider on still allowing dofollow. All the best.

The value of page rank passing from comments section is not heavy compared to sidewide dofollow links (like blogroll, etc). He might get huge backlinks from other higher PR sites. Try to check its backlinks here http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/ you can see how many backlinks sidewide or from comments section, either dofollow or nofollow.
