Love Your Outbound Links and Spend It Wisely

Love Outbound LinksSince learning about DoFollow and NoFollow rules, I’m becoming more and more cautious to provide any links outside from my blog. Any links with NoFollow, I don’t mind. I can play tag games, contest, meme and link to 1,000 blogs but with NOFOLLOW tags.

By default, any link that you paste in your blog post will be DoFollow, so be wise when you post a link on your blog. Because, each time you link someone or without changing anything in HTML tag, it will be in default DoFollow. If you have heavy DoFollow links outbound from your post. You are just distributing or sharing the page rank juice with the link you post in you blog post.

So, if you want to post a link in your blog, make sure they really deserve to have the backlink from you. If it is for advertisement purpose, or something that does not deserve, please change it to NoFollow link. This way, you bucket of page rank won’t drop so fast.

Love your dofollow links and use it wisely as you spend your hard earned cash.

Yes you can. But, make sure your advertiser don’t do any special request like “no nofollow” in their requirements.

    Refer to http://atniz.com/?p=63

    - The difference from dofollow and nofollow is only an additional of below line

    rel=”nofollow”

You can do it manually on html codes. View the codes in Just add this on all paid links to make it nofollow.

helo atniz..ok i understand these. but how can i do nofollow?can u teach me what to do?tnx so much

    Hi mharms,

    It is simple.
You cannot link any sites with dofollow if you get paid from it.
If you get paid for it, you must use nofollow.

    Example of paid links:
    - link on paid post to advertiser site
    - paid links on your sidebar
    - paid blogrolls
    - paid 125×125 ad space or other sizes
    - etc,

Any kind of advertisement that runs on your blog with a link to the advertiser, need to be nofollow.

If you give dofollow, then your page rank can be penalized to zero.

    Hope it clears your question.
