Writing 200 Comments A Day HellDear Entrecarders,

As you all know each blog have 300 gold cards to drop and each IP got 600 cards to drop. This is the limit that we all need to follow. I have been receiving more than 300 drops recently. There is no possible way that we can drop more than 300 cards a day. So, how we are going to follow “U Drop I Follow” method anymore?

I have asked Graham Langdon about this two times and the best answer so far I get is to comment on the blogs that I’m unable to drop. Yes. This is his answer. Recently, there is a question and answer session with Graham posted on his blog. Check out this question from Majik and Graham’s answer to it.

Majik asks:
How many different blogs on average do you comment on in one day?

Graham Langdon Answered:
Check my SezWho profile! They’re all right there. (but if you must know right now, I would say between 4 and 10 -SezWho doesn’t pick up all of them)

As I can see most of my commentators also mentioned the same thing that they comment around 5 to 10 comments a day. I think this is normal. The point is, I realized it after about 2 weeks. I’ve been commenting on 100 – 200 posts each day on the sites that I’m unable to drop, because my average inbox drops is 400 – 550 a day.

I got two blogs registered with Entrecard, I’ve been spending about 10 hour a day to complete commenting and dropping for one blog. Another blog, I spend 2 hours only to drop and unable to comment and I feel so bad about it. Do you know how it feels like visiting 1000 sites a day, dropping 600 cards a day, and commenting on 200 posts a day. I felt so tired and felt sick doing it for last 2 weeks.

I can still accept the above answer, but when I saw the QA below

EntreBlast Asks
How does a normal work day go for you?
How do you spend your free time?

Graham Langdon Answered:
A normal work day goes something like this: I wake up, make myself some breakfast, and bike down to the gym where I work out for about an hour, and bike back. I come home and eat breakfast. Eggs, oatmeal, coffee, whatever. Then I begin. I just tear into whatever is on the agenda for the day. It usually involves a lot of emailing, a lot of blogging, a couple phone calls, and a fair bit of research. I go through the customer service to see if there are any issues demanding my attention, go through the forums, make sure everything is going smooth, handle any problems. Then I brainstorm for a bit. At some point in the day I make sure to check in on both Digg and TechCrunch. Around lunch time I’ll crack open a beer and throw some steak or chicken on the grill. My girlfriend gets home around 5, we’ll go walk by the beach, make a pizza, watch a movie, and then pretty much go to bed. Then it starts all over.

After I saw this answer, I just walk away from my computer, brought my mum, baby, husband and go for a beach walk at 2pm. I know it’s sunny; we just walk under the shades and have some drinks and just chit chat about some nonsense things. Went to Indian street and bought some clothes and went to Gurney Plaza to buy some toys for my 9 months baby. Came back home at about 9pm and finish the drops. I slept at 12am. This is the earliest time I slept ever since start Entrecard.

Now, I don’t comment on 200 posts, just reply the comments I received. Comment on the blog that have interesting posts or arguable contents. Lastly, comment on the blogs that have the topics that really interest me. I feel a lot better now.

P.S. If you missed the QA section of Graham Langdon, here is the link.

    Hi Techsta,

Yes. Replying inbox drops is the most vital in entrecard to get higher inbox drops. Wish you all the best for your dropping.

Heh, some good points. I guess you just have to follow the good old rule on drop the ones who drop you the most and then go down the daily … I am sure we all understand that you can’t drop on everyone everyday. A lot of us have lives :) .. i myself drop on anyone who drops me in the space of 2 days because I am only managing 150 a day per blog .. on average … lucky maybe .. :) Now if they would just click the ads .. :) we all know thats how blogs make money … so much good advice but very little practise to help another blogger out :)

  3. Thanks. I actually do own the domain name for Fitness Diva, and plan to switch over eventually. But my blog has been on blogspot for almost 3 years, and I’m afraid to lose all the links to my site I’ve built up over that time. So, I’m dragging my feet on the changeover a bit, I guess. I’m still learning the business side of blogging, but I’m trying to catch on quick! I see that your blog is very helpful in gaining that information.

Thanks, and good luck to you too.

    Fitness Diva,

I always remember your nick. I suggest you get a domain name for this one because it is so catchy. I can spend 10 hours a day because I’m a full time blogger. Now, I spend some time on freelance writings. At least, I can earn some extra money. I’m still a new blogger around here. Hope to get my first $300 by end of this month. I wish you all the best in your blogging too.

    WebbieStuffs,

Thanks for dropping by and wonderful comment. I’m glad this post as an eye opener for you. I just hope everyone enjoy their life and spend more time with their loved ones. I’m involved in freelance writing as well. Just started a week ago. It is really interesting. I’m a Peon in DP.

  6. I think it’s amazing that you managed to comment on 200 blogs a day at all! I drop and comment here and there..and that takes up SO much time! Sometimes I have set up a half hour just to comment on various blogs, and only the ones that strike me, or that I visit and comment on regularly.
Compared to your 10 hours, that’s nothing!

But I see you have some very good advice here and I will take some tips from you! Thanks for your posting! :)

It is an eye opener for many who spend too much time online. I am on e who loves blogging and in a day i make 25-50 comments for my two blogs too but I still do other stuffs from community work and my freelance writing.

Am glad to hear you are having a real life again.. ?_?

  8. Atniz says:

This is great. I’m tired of visiting the blog that have not updated a long time. If they have this option, it would be much great.

  9. Lynne says:

I agree, I’d love to see an option for the date in the inbox and also the popularity rating. The price doesn’t mean too much to me unless I can see how popular the blog is.

I’d also like a to be able to block blogs from popping up that haven’t posted on their blog for over a month, sometimes more.
