Top 10 Points That You Need To Know About Advertising on Entrecard
1. You need to be a member of Entrecard in order to advertise on more than 15,000+ blogs.
2. Each ad will run for 24 hours.
3. The EC value/days in queue to wait appear on the site widget.
4. You will earn 25% credits from the price paid to advertise on your site. The balance 75% will be trashed to prevent inflation. Example, if your site been paid 1000EC to advertise, you will only receive 256 credits on the day the ad show up on your site.
5. If you don’t have enough credit to purchase a slot, then “Too Expensive” will appear and there is no option for you to purchase that particular ads. For example, if you have a balance of 200EC, and interested in purchasing 256EC ad spot, it will show “Too Expensive” and there won’t be any buying options available for you until you reach qualified account balance.
6. By clicking approved, you accept to show their ads on your site.
7. Ads will auto–approved if you don’t approve after 10 days.
8. Try to avoid advertise on the sites that recently rejected your ads by looking at the color codes on the widget (black). Here are the color codes: Gold = Featured, Rose = Favorite, Blue = Ad purchased, Green = Dropped, Dark = Recently rejected
9. Click on the profile to see your previous ads purchase history record (Value of ads purchased and clicks received from this ads display).
10. Try to spend the credits that you earn wisely. Don’t overspend or else you might need to buy it from other sellers, ebay.com or from entrecard.com itself.

Tom Sawyer,
Great. Each 1000EC you spend is equivalent to $2 – $2.5 on ebay. So, try to spend it wisely on advertisement. Try to choose high ranking which will directly contribute to your blog visits count.

Thanks for all your tips. By dropping on as many sites as possible my traffic has doubled, though I think I will follow your tips to advertise more wisely as the results from that have been poor. Thanks very much!

Mamaflo,
No. There is no way to find out the history of who advertise on our site. I have asked this question to Entrecard support team (Ben) earlier too.
BTW, try to install SezWho. I always give high ranking to my commentators.

Shaxx,
So long didn’t hear from you. Hope you doing well. I got shocked when hearing we only get 25% of paid EC to display on our site too. That’s why I highlighted that point. I never about it and spending my EC lavishly on ads. Now, back to economy.

)
I can rate comments but I can’t seem to rate blog content on sez who. when I try I get this:
Rate Content
Failure in processing!
Login/Register to rate
Rate anonymously
(anonymous votes are weighted less)
But I am logged in to sez who. Is there somewehre else I need to register? I’m confused. I posted in the forums but to no avail. Thanks for any help you can send my way, even just things to try. very frustrating. I’m a registered user. want my votes to count aas such.

I also have a problem with sezwho. If I make (legitimate) comments on a blog or post on one of my blogs, it doesn’t always show up on SezWho. Is anyone else having that problem?
I just noticed how few posts you actually have and I can tell you are a rising star! What is the link to your other blog?

Tom Sawyer,
SezWho doesn’t track all post and sometimes missed comments too. Graham also mention about it in his QA section. SezWho are working hard on this claws too. The best person that could answer is the SezWho guys who can be reached at support@sezwho.com
SezWho team, Indus Khaitan (indus@sezwho.com) even mention to me that they will work out on SezWho ratings to appear on feedburner feeds as well (that way my request).
I can say, SezWho team are more adaptable and quick in problem solving. I will always receive the reply in less than 2 hours. I think it is the best way to solve any problems with SezWho related.
Thank for for your motivating comments on my other posts. Happy to see the Top Droppers widget on your blog. I have bookmarked you site. From now on, I will be a dedicated dropper on your blog. I wish to get a piece of that Top Droppers too.

Washwords,
- First of all you cannot vote for your self.
- Secondly, if you already cast a vote, you cannot vote again also.
- Thirdly, SezWho plugin take time to load sometimes and don’t count our vote. You can try later if this happens, which usually we won’t. Lolz.
If you have more than one account that is connected to each other in SezWho, it might get conflict. Sometimes, I can vote for my own post but cannot vote for the comments I sent. I suggest you to contact support@sezwho.com, this is the best and fastest way to get better answer.

Book it / SoNoWhat / The one and only Monkey,
Wow, it is good to see your comment here. You know, after you share your secret ingredient of sleeping 4 hours a day, dropping 1200 cards a day, earning/spending 3500+ EC credits a day, on a post in Monkey fables, I can see many have reached high popularity ranking including myself. But, you still can keep the huge gap from your rivalries. Why not at least run some adsense on your Monkey Fables? I can’t see any revenue you earning from here but giving huge traffics. Any specific reason why you are not running any ads?

Ultimate Blogging Experiment,
I think Graham got good reason to trash 75% of credits on inflation purpose. Imagine of credits earned per day from 15,000 blogs.
Just a simple mathematical calculation:
Each blog earn credits from
- 300 drops – 300EC
-Received 300 drops – 300EC
- Comment 10 (3rank) – 60EC
Total credits each blog can earn without ads is above 600EC per day.
Total credits generated per day from 15,000 blogs
= 15000x(Approx 600EC)= 9,000,000 EC credits.
Trashing 75% from this value will leave 2,250,000 EC credits adding into the family each day.
This is just a simple calculation. I think it is a good step to control EC value which is good for all its members.
Even with 75% trashing value, anyone can sell 1000EC at $2.00 easily on eBay. If the value need to increase more, then the trashing percentage need to increase too. This is my point of view.

Antiz, thanks soooo much for your personal attn. and all your help!
think i (finally) discovered the problem. It was either 1) I was still logged in at home and/or 2) I was at work when trying earlier today and therefore… blocked. or some combo of these.
thanks very much for trying to help and your emails and great tips here. I will definitely keep coming back to your most wonderful blog.

Glad you know more about Advertising on EC now. I don’t know point 4 before. All this while, I believed will get 100% of ads credit, but it is only 25% and still the EC value dropped from $7 to $2+.
