I’ve been playing around with entrecard. I’ve spend thousands of EC on ads and the traffic that I’ve received from these ads is really bad. On my blogger blog, I’ve run like 20-30 ads per day only to get maybe 4-18 clicks? (The organic traffic that I get is 4x this amount from EC) What’s your strategy on placing ads with EC? I’ve tried some of the EC sites that cost between 500-1000 EC clicks and they don’t seem to be much better than some of the lower priced sites?

How many credits are you willing to spend a day?
And, the traffic during weekend always lower than Monday to Friday. So, must be wise on spending those credits on advertisement.
I always spend about 1000 – 1200ECredit per day on Advertising. From advertising, I will get around 200+ drops per day. I think it is not worth but getting 200+ drops from advertising alone make it worth for 1000 EC per day.
How I choose the sites:
Go to campaign, select all category, most popular, credits limit (always try to choose highest popularity)
I will choose
1 from 512EC/per day
1 from 256EC/day
1 or 2 from 128EC/day
1 or 2 from 64EC/day
1 or 2 from 32EC/day
1 or 2 from 16EC/day
1 or 2 from 8EC/day
1 or 2 from 4EC/day Unlimited from 2EC/day (most of the sites here are new to Entrecard family and this could be a way to find new visits to your site)
I do the same process every single day… An average of 30 – 40 ads running each day and I’m spending about 1000 – 1200 EC on advertising each day.
Recently, I’m getting more than 400 drops per day.
Compare to advertising (1200 EC per day equivalent to 1200 drops and getting only 200 inbox drops), returning Inbox drops and commenting on those sites in our Inbox drops (300 drops per day, if commenting unlimited, we might get more than 300 per day just from Inbox drops).
I haven’t utilize my Inbox drops yet, but there is chances of getting 500 – 600 visits or maybe even 1000 visits from Entrecard alone. We just need to utilize it. You can try and share the results.
