I have tried to install WP-Backup plugin to back up my blog. Steve Yu has advice me to get this plugin. Thanks to him.
I also installed One Click Plugin Updater – This is because, in wordpress, we need to install plugins to get more widgets and makes our blog better. Anytime the plugin got new version, we need to remove the file and upload a new file, extract it and enable it. This takes a lot of time if we have more than 5 plugins installed.
I have also installed Popularity Contest plugin – This provide a widget that consist of the most popular posts in your blog and displayed on your main page. Also, on every single post, it will show the popularity of it. This gives your reader a better idea on popularity of the post that they read.
Also, installed Subscribe To Comments plugin – enable the reader to follow up comments on each post. This will give return traffic from the same reader to your blog. Another word, we will get more comments on each post. This is healthy for a blog. I’m sure this is common in blogspot but in wordpress we need to install it at our own.
I tried to install Technorati widget. I already have an account with technorati, but when I tried to claim my blog, it always says that the “Doh! The Technorati Monster escaped again.” I don’t know why the Technorati monster can always escape, I always receive “502 Proxy Error”… I’m not a techie kind of person, I can understand that this page does not loads now…
I have able to install google ads here. It is not as easy as blogger, as here, I have generated the code from the main site and paste the code over here under text widget. I have tried on 2 days from my blog installation with the same method, but there is no ads. Then, I remember one of my friend told me that the blog must be at least 1 week old. I think my blog is 1 week old now. Hehehe…
I have more widgets or upgrades coming soon.
